We started our April Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month Ceremonies yesterday in Grimes County!

Our team gathered with community leaders, partners, and advocates to recognize the 41 children in our community who have been served by Scotty’s House from Grimes County. Each name shared during this ceremony represents a child, a story, and a path toward healing.

In 2025, Scotty’s House served 1,019 children across the Brazos Valley, which is made possible through the support of our partners and the strength of the communities we serve.

Together, we remain committed to protecting children, supporting families, and bringing hope to those who need it most. Join us throughout April as we continue to raise awareness!

We kicked off Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month at Prosperity Bank yesterday for our annual Pinwheel Garden planting! 💙 Our Volunteers planted 1,285 Pinwheels to represent the children in the Brazos Valley who received services in 2025.

This incredibly moving display is an important visual in raising awareness to just how many children in our community are affected.

We encourage you to drive by this month to see the garden for yourself & join us for our upcoming Brazos County CAAPM Ceremony + Groundbreaking of our new facility on Wednesday, April 8th at 11:00 am.

Our 12th Annual Great American Steak Out, brought together more than 450 of our Community Members in support of children here in the Brazos Valley. 🥩 We cannot say thank you enough for the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, and guests. Our evening raised over $630,000 to support the vital work happening every day at Scotty’s House!

One of the most meaningful traditions at Steak Out is our “Raise Your Paw” moment, which this year was held in honor of Sawyer, Scotty’s House’s beloved Facility Dog. Our guests raised their paws and helped raise over $250,000 to support services for children at Scotty’s House.
