☀️ Summer fun is worth sharing, but it’s also a great time to teach kids the power of privacy. Here are a couple tips for safer social sharing:
• Remind them not to post personal info like full names, school names, or vacation locations in real time.
• Help them review their privacy settings together. You can make it a bonding moment!
• Encourage kindness. A simple “Would you want someone to post that about you?” can shape empathy online.

Your child's digital safety starts with thoughtful habits, and you're their best teacher.

This week, we get to celebrate National Forensic Interviewers Week, and we want to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to the incredible forensic interviewers at Scotty’s House. 💙

These compassionate professionals sit in the toughest of spaces—listening to children share their truths, often for the first time. With patience, empathy and specialized training, they help pave the way toward justice and healing. Their work may be quiet, but its impact echoes for a lifetime.

From all of us here at Scotty's House, we want to thank you for being the steady voice, the safe space, and the first step in hope for so many children in the Brazos Valley.

We had an incredible turn out at this week's MAV Training at Baylor Scott & White here in College Station! 👏🏻 Our Volunteers learned the in's and out's of being a Medical Accompaniment Volunteer (MAV) and how incredibly important it is to the children who come through Scotty's House.

These Volunteers are some of the first support advocates that children get to interact with when their journey begins. Our MAV Volunteers assist the Forensic Interview Team at Baylor Scott & White or Scotty's House with informational and support services ... and a friendly smile!

We look forward to adding more of these incredible volunteers to our team of community members looking to help the children of Scotty's House!
