Why is it that everyone and their mother-in-law thinks they get a say in how long I breastfeed MY baby? 🙄 I’m over here, b***s out, feeding and comforting my child the way that feels right for us — and suddenly it’s a group discussion about when I should quit.

Let me be clear: my baby isn’t ready, I’m not ready, and just because it makes you uncomfortable doesn’t mean I owe you early weaning. Breastfeeding isn’t some party trick I’m performing for applause — it’s nourishment, comfort, bonding, immune support, and peace for my child.

I don’t walk around telling other moms when they should stop using bottles, or pacifiers, or co-sleeping. Why do people think they can corner me into justifying why I’m still breastfeeding?

So yeah — I’m venting. Because I’m tired of being shamed for doing something natural and healthy. If you don’t like seeing me breastfeed, here’s an idea: look away. I’ll stop when ME and MY BABY are ready. End of story.
