This is absolutely gut wrenching! I know that as a child with EDS my mom was always questioned over and over and over and they always suspected her of abuse. Even as an adult they question me and act like my husband is suspect or maybe I'm just overly sensitive to it, but I can't image going through this.
My son was practically on a first name basis with the ER docs as he had stitches 20+ times before graduating high school. His trips to the ER started around 6 months old and continued, at least once a year until graduation. The doctors would ask him over and over again and he would get frustrated telling them.... He even asked once "why do they keep asking, can't they remember from the last time they were in here?" (ya know 5 minutes before)
Dr - "what happened?"
Stevie ~sigh - "i have soft skin... i slipped, i tripped, I held the hammer backwards...whatever it was"
I just can't imagine...
