We’ve been dealing with a lot lately. Who hasn’t? I find myself less able to keep control of my emotions these days. My daughter graduated this year & next month is moving away. No more family dinners with us all together. No more folding her clothes. No more buying her toothpaste at the grocery. Like, my heart man.

Our water filter under the upstairs sink cracked & flooded the lower level while we slept. The post cards written to her from my grandparents, the vocabulary journals from my boys when they were little, the Mother’s Day cards with “I love you momma” written in their little handwriting, all gone. My husband is perfectly fine tossing them, but when I touch them I touch the same paper my babies touched who are no longer babies. Those vocabulary journals were a living piece of that child who is no more a child. I get to be that twenty year old mom again looking at this “junk”. And what sucks is back then I just wished it away. I wished they were older & they didn’t need me so much. I wished they could dress themselves so I didn’t have to stop what I was doing and do it for them. I wished they could drive themselves so I didn’t have to. I was always so busy back then, and I’m still busy now but it’s a different kind of busy.

My family always says when I die they’ll throw it all away and that’s ok bc it’s not for them, it’s for me! It’s for me to go back and relive moments long gone. It’s for me to smell the marker scent on the paper long after the days markers get used in our house. It’s a way to go back, or at least it was before the water got them. It’s insane how much you miss what you once had. And it’s crazy feeling overwhelmed ripping out wet floors & walls while tossing cherished childhood memories knowing there are those out there who no longer have houses or children. I can’t imagine that feeling bc the way this feels can’t even come close to what they feel. So I’ll choose to be thankful that I still have my kids but not the artwork. I’ll choose to be thankful I still have a house but not flooring or lower walls. I’ll choose to be grateful for all that we do have in this moment. Ps- put the important stuff in waterproof containers ❤️

Our Story

I am a wife and a mother of three who loves to live naturally on our 18 acre farm! Since 2010 I have made my own natural products for my family using herbs/essential oils and after years of trial and error to master the craft of creating all-natural, non-toxic products that actually work, I am excited to say that now they are available to anyone. In addition to the all natural body care products, salves, and cleaning supplies we also offer a wide variety of natural or reclaimed home decor products at our vendor markets. We truly are dedicated to serving the needs of our family and our customers each and every day.

The reason I began living naturally:

I will never forget the day that I poured the milk out of my son's sippy cup, rinsed it with water, and a giant mountain of bubbles formed! My son had been drinking out of a soap covered sippy cup. Our dishwasher must have stopped mid-cycle and I unknowingly unloaded the soap covered dishes. I thought, "was dish detergent harmful to a baby" and "what exactly is in the dishwashing detergent?" To my surprise, the ingredients were not listed on the box. Check under your sink and in your laundry room. Chances are you won't find an ingredients list on the bottles. Scary right?! Later that week, I laid the twins down for their nap. When I checked on them, I found them out of their cribs and covered in a greasy paste. They learned to climb out of their beds and got into my diaper supply basket which contained baby essentials such as diaper rash cream, baby powder, lotion, baby vicks, etc. They had made a concoction and had it in their mouth, ears, eyes- everywhere! I found myself, again, going through the same questions I had before with the addition of, "exactly how many different chemicals did they ingest this time from the vicks and diaper rash medicine??". That was the day my life changed. I felt helpless. How could I keep my children safe if I kept things in my home that had the ability to hurt them? How do I treat diaper rash with out the cream? How do I treat the skin scrapes with out ointment? If they accidentally ingest these things it can potentially hurt them. This is the day I began my journey. I set out to find alternative products made with a mixture natural oils / butters and essential oils rather than chemicals so that if another one of these accidents happened I don't have to worry about my children's well being. Each day we get rid of a harmful product and replace it with something safe. My daughter and I were making a jar of sugar scrub the other day and I turned around to find her licking the spoon. I asked her what she was doing and she replied that she forgot we were making "soap" and thought it was brownies. I just laughed when she said it didn't taste as good as it looked. There was nothing in the scrub that would hurt her. Nothing that she couldn't eat! So after years of trial and error to master the craft of creating all-natural, non-toxic products that actually work, I am excited to say that now they are available to anyone. In addition to the all natural body care products, salves, and cleaning supplies we also offer a wide variety of natural or reclaimed home decor products.
