Beautiful day hosting our monthly Village Prenatal, with some mamas returning with babes in arms.

Here, we are tying a red thread to honor the mamas nearest the birth portal. We will all sever our bracelets after they have given birth.

What an honor to create a space for this magical community and witness it grow and blossom.

We had an absolutely wonderful time with doing natural facials at our July Village Prenatal gathering. It was a beautiful way to truly treat ourselves and integrate an easy yet deeply nourishing self-care routine for postpartum and busy mom life.

We invite you to join us for our upcoming Village Prenatal gathering, happening this Sunday, August 10th, from 1–4 PM in Canyon, CA.

This month, we’re keeping it sweet and simple—an invitation to slow down, connect, and be held in the warmth of community. Whether you’re brand new to the group or a familiar face, you are so welcome here.

“Our skin is the largest sensory organ and drinks in everything we put on it. It’s time to nourish, heal and brighten your facial skin with an all natural facial regimen using ingredients ‘straight from the kitchen’.“

We have a special offering this month: Our guest, Tamu Mosley, will be guiding us through ‘Straight From The Kitchen Natural Facial’!

“During this class we will mix up a cleansing, nourishing, brightening face mask powder. We will then be guided through a supremely nourishing, all natural full facial regimen that includes a cleanser, mask, toner and moisturizer.

Each participant will leave with a face mask recipe, knowledge of a full facial regime to support vibrant skin and a jar of the face mask powder we mix up in class.”

This is not just information—it’s remembrance. A return to the way women have cared for each other for thousands of years.

At our upcoming gathering for pregnant mothers, we’ll offer a 10-minute introduction to Innate Postpartum Care and Physiological Baby Care, inspired by the work of Rachelle Garcia Seliga.

You’ll learn:
• Why postpartum planning is just as essential as birth planning
• What your baby truly needs in the first 40 days—and what you do, too
• How to support your baby’s development by honoring their physiological design
• The difference between culturally normal and biologically normal baby care

Come join us. Reconnect. Prepare. Feel supported.
Spots are limited—sign up through the link in bio.

👆🏼 This is precisely why your mind can be your greatest HINDRANCE OR ALLY in birth.

Your mind does what it thinks you want.

When you’ve got a whole bunch of negative self-talk going on, your experience of life isn’t so great, right?

When you’re living in fear or resistance of the birth process, your body becomes more tense and your sense of pain is heightened.

The most fluid and easeful parts of my 4 births have been the moments where I am consciously choosing the words I say to myself.

“Thank you, I want this.”
“I’m soft and open.”
“I release control.”

And trust me, it is not always easy to stay in this mindset when you’re experiencing THE MOST INTENSE sensations of your entire life.

So what is it that you say to yourself about your pregnancy, your body, and birth? What are the stories of birth that have been passed down to you?

Let’s dive into the mind 🧠 together and get familiar with the power of your mind to carry you through your transcendent birth ✨

✨East Bay Village Prenatal🌲 Join us for a nourishing and relaxing afternoon in the gorgeous redwoods of the East Bay Area. We’ll share tea, snacks, an altar to pregnancy, sisterhood, and a peaceful non-judgmental space. Speak your birthing dreams, voice your fears, be celebrated in your pregnancy, share moments of power.

Pregnancy is such a sacred time of growth, healing and expansion. In order to do the deep work of tending to our inner world, we need to be externally resourced. Community and connection, specifically with women — and especially other pregnant women — is one of the very best ways we can nurture ourselves during pregnancy. Come gather!

“Will someone just please take me to the hospital and cut this baby out?!” I thought to myself, crouched on my knees, leaning over the cold bathtub, moaning so loudly that it felt like my vocal cords might burst.

I didn’t realize that I was in transition. This moment of fear and feeling like I could not possibly go on was actually a very normal sign post that labor was almost over. However, I had surpassed the stage of labor in which my logical brain could hold onto a thought for more than a second, and I was deep into the phase of cosmic traveling.

The immediate next thought was about how horrible it would be to get dressed, go out into the freezing cold December air, walk down the stairs, get into the car, deal with contractions while the car is moving, and proceed into a bright building with strangers touching me and machines everywhere. “Never mind,” I thought. “I have to get this baby out myself. Just be here now. I can do this.” I told myself. I sunk back into my primal brain. The only way to the end… was through…

Birth belongs to women. Your birth is inherently yours. Women have the innate knowledge of how, when, and where to give birth. But that’s not how the mainstream relates to birth anymore. And most of us have forgotten this truth and responsibility.

“A woman who shows up at the hospital ready to push is praised for doing a great job laboring alone while women who choose home birth… are shamed for being irresponsible and dangerous.”
- Reclaiming Childbirth as a Rite of Passage

To me, sovereign birth involves getting curious about where and how you can be fully responsible for your birth choices, and then taking the leap in owning those choices.

I’ve had 3 great home births with licensed midwives. I’ve learned more about my blind spots and I’ve clarified my boundaries more and more each time. Now, choosing freebirth for the first time, I am on a path of discovery on an even deeper level.

What is sovereign birth to you?

Today, our brains are working overtime and many of us are increasingly lapsing into autopilot.

Calm down your nervous system, put your mind at ease and, in turn, your baby will regulate too.

Sound healing is a form of holistic therapy that uses sonic vibrations to restore the mind and body to homeostasis.

When our nervous system can truly rest, we can integrate and heal at the deepest level.

Join us for our springtime ~ Mama Sound Healing Retreat ~ March 23rd from 1-5pm in Berkeley, CA.

This guided journey is designed for pregnant women, postpartum mamas, and those calling in a conscious conception. Pre-crawling babies are welcome.

A Path to Intuitive Birth

It is your birthright to give birth safely, gently, and with love rather than with fear. How birth unfolds is somewhat unpredictable - but with education, mindset, practice, and support, you can give birth confidently and powerfully - no matter what turns your birthing takes.

I’ve always been fascinated with the intricate process of birth and the transformation into parenthood. It is one of the most mysterious yet natural processes - and the reason we all exist today.

I was led down this path of birth work both in awe of the strength and intuitive wisdom of women and disheartened by the lack of knowledge, trust and autonomy some have for their own bodies.

During my pregnancy, I looked forward to the full mind body experience of birthing. I was very intentional in how I prepared to give birth and I also knew that I had to let go of all expectations. I knew that I didn’t have control over how my birth would go, but that my power was in how I related to it from one moment to the next. Going through the birth process ended up being the most grounded, strong, and connected I’ve ever felt in my body.
