After suffering an auto accident in 1992, the owner -- Charlie -- grew frustrated with the lack of affordable medical equipment available for his rehabilitation. So in May 1995, he opened a small store selling medical equipment and supplies at discounted prices - "Wheelchairs Etc." - on Tyler St. in Riverside, CA. A second location opened in Hemet, CA. Charlie quickly became a trusted staple in the community, earning a reputation for quality products at discounted prices and excellent customer service. In 2000, he opened of the largest showrooms (7,000 sq. ft.) of medical equipment and supplies in the state of California. Today, Discount Medical is located on Magnolia Ave, west of Tyler St, next to Northgate Gonzalez Market and The Camp Transformation Center.
