Does BalanceOil+ Have Seed Oils?
No. BalanceOil+ does not contain seed oils, in the form of highly processed linoleic acid, the inflammatory fat found in soybean, corn, safflower, sunflower, and other cooking oils or as an ingredient in most processed foods. The oil blend in BalanceOil+ is made from pure omega-3 fish oil and polyphenol-rich extra virgin olive oil, both of which support lower inflammation, healthier cell membranes, and a balanced omega-6 to omega-3 ratio.

The confusion comes from a preservative called tocopherols, which are simply forms of Vitamin E used to keep oils fresh. The tocopherols in the BalanceOil+ are sourced from refined soybean distillates, but they are not soybean oil, do not contain linoleic acid, and do not behave like seed oils in the body. They are purified Vitamin E, not an oil ingredient. For people avoiding seed oils because of linoleic acid, BalanceOil+ aligns perfectly with that goal.

Why Black People Face Higher Inflammation, and What Everyone Needs to Know

Inflammation is one of the biggest drivers of today’s major health problems. Many conditions such as obesity, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, blood clots, stroke, autoimmune diseases, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease are connected to inflammation that stays too high for too long.

These health problems affect everyone, but not equally. Differences in lifestyle, environment, and genetics all influence how much inflammation a person experiences.

Black people in the United States experience higher rates of several inflammation-related conditions, and one major reason is how the body processes certain fats. This article breaks the science down in simple terms and explains how this difference affects health today.

Health Disparities Are Not Random
Research shows clear differences between Black and white Americans when it comes to diseases linked to chronic inflammation:

👉 About 58% of Black adults have high blood pressure, compared with 49% of white adults
👉 About 57% of Black women live with obesity, compared with 40% of white women
👉 Black older adults experience higher rates of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease
👉 Black Americans also face higher rates of cancer, stroke, heart disease, and blood clots

🔥 Statins Disrupt Gut Health

I bet your doctor never told you about this study. You take statins and have no clue, but you keep believing your cardiologist.

A human trial from China, published in Cell Metabolism in 2024, called “Statins aggravate insulin resistance through reduced blood glucagon-like peptide-1 levels in a microbiota-dependent manner,” followed people for sixteen weeks while they took the cholesterol drug atorvastatin.

The study found that statins changed their gut bacteria, lowered their levels of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), and made their blood-sugar control worse. GLP-1 is a natural hormone, a peptide, and part of a group of important signaling molecules called incretins. These incretins help the body manage blood sugar, support insulin, and keep metabolism steady.

When GLP-1 levels drop, insulin resistance can rise. This study helps explain why people who take statins may have a higher risk of type 2 diabetes. It also shows that the gut plays a major role in how statins affect overall health.

🔥 How Is Gut Inflammation Usually Measured?
Most people don’t know this… but the traditional tests for gut inflammation only give you fragments of the truth. None of them show the full picture.

Here’s what people are relying on, and why it’s not enough 👇

1️⃣ F***l Calprotectin (Stool Test)
Most common medical test.
Good for: Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis (IBD)

But it does NOT:
❌ show early inflammation
❌ detect microbiome stress
❌ measure immune signaling
❌ show tryptophan pathways
❌ get used unless disease is suspected

2️⃣ C-Reactive Protein (CRP) – Blood Test
A general inflammation marker, not gut-specific.

Limitations:
❌ Can rise from anything (injury, infection, obesity)
❌ Doesn’t identify gut inflammation
❌ Doesn’t report gut-immune stress

3️⃣ Zonulin (Blood or Stool)
Often used for “leaky gut.”

Limitations:
❌ Highly variable
❌ Not always reliable
❌ Doesn’t show immune stress
❌ Doesn’t measure inflammation directly

4️⃣ Serum LPS (Blood Test)
Measures toxins from harmful gut bacteria.

Limitations:
❌ Rarely available
❌ Not standardized
❌ Doesn’t measure tryptophan pathways

5️⃣ Gut Biopsy
Done during colonoscopy or endoscopy.

Limitations:
❌ Very invasive
❌ Only used when disease is suspected
❌ Not for prevention or wellness

6️⃣ Stool Microbiome Tests (GI Map, Viome, etc.)
These show which bacteria are present, but they:
❌ do NOT show what bacteria are producing
❌ do NOT measure inflammation
❌ do NOT measure IPA or KYN
❌ are not clinically validated
❌ are often inaccurate

👉 They show gut contents, not gut function.
