We had the privilege of hosting a group of transition students from for Blind Children as they continue to explore career opportunities and learn more about the world of work. Their energy, curiosity, and thoughtful questions reminded us why mentoring and accessibility matter.
We discussed:
âś… Career pathways at AIB and in a wide range of fields
âś… Preparing for the job interview.
➡ Resume’ preparation
➡ Professional appearance that fits the company and position
➡ The right time to arrive for the interview-not too early, and definitely never late.
➡ Interview readiness by anticipating questions based on the position and practicing for the interview.
✅ The importance of professionalism — from communication and punctuality to owning your story and presenting yourself confidently.

Still true today, growing the U.S. industrial base and enhancing the military supply chain. Contact your Washington D.C. delegation and tell them you support a statutory 1% AbilityOne utilization goal for the DoD in the FY26 NDAA.

The Defense Department is set to honor the AbilityOne program, which provides jobs for wounded veterans and blind and severely disabled people.
