It comes with a heavy heart that I share with you my dad passed away last night.
I would not ordinarily share this kind of personal news on social media. However, the universe delivered two supportive and beautiful gifts to me today. I believe they may also help some of you.
Here's what they were:
The first was a song that came into my head.
"Come Rain or Come Shine"

The other came in the form of a Poem that Hedy Larmarr read at the end of a documentary I caught part of today.
I found the original poem in it's entirety online...here it is:
"Anyway: The Paradoxical Commandments"
by Dr. Kent M. Keith
People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.

Even though I feel a big gaping hole of emptiness and an unusual feeling of an orphan (my mom also passed two years ago). My heart is full of love and gratitude for those two beautiful souls who created me in my humanness. They also gifted me much wisdom.
The song reminded me of their love, and the poem was a reminder of how we must live our lives.
Don't wait. Be courageous and live the life you've come to fully engage and experience.
Much love to you all. 💜
