Your body wasn’t made to sit still all day.
But it also doesn’t need a complete life overhaul to feel better.

Small, consistent movement = real relief.
Think: a quick stretch, a short walk, a few minutes between meetings.
It adds up. Your joints will thank you.

Hot girl walks 🤝 actual science

Today is National Walking Day!
Walking isn’t just something you do to “get steps in.”
When you pick up the pace (aka brisk walking), your body starts to change in ways that matter.

We’re talking:
• Increased blood flow to muscles and joints
• Less stiffness after sitting all day
• Better energy (without needing a full workout)
• Support for heart health and long-term mobility

Even 10 minutes can help your body reset.

So no, never just a trend.

If your body’s been feeling tight, achy, or off…
this might be your easiest starting point.

That third cup of coffee hitting… and suddenly your bladder is too 👀☕️

Caffeine can irritate the bladder and increase urgency — which might explain those little leaks when you sneeze, cough, or laugh.

The good news? Small habit shifts + the right pelvic floor support can make a big difference.

Learn what’s going on (and what actually helps) at the link in our bio.

Game day survival guide... for your body. 🏀

Because jumping out of your seat, twisting for the snack table, and yelling at the ref are full contact activities. Here’s how to prep:
✅ Jump squats — for the instant standing ovation
✅ Oblique twists — for reaching past your uncle to the dip
✅ Head turns — for dramatic ref reactions
✅ Lat stretch — for leaning all the way in
✅ Shoulder rows — for that “Yesss!” moment

Move now. Watch comfortably later.

Pelvic Health 101… the class most of us never got.

But these small habits can make a big difference for your pelvic floor over time. 👇

• Skip the “just in case” bathroom trip. Doing this regularly can train your bladder to feel the urge more often.
• Fully relax when you p*e. No hovering, tiptoeing, or pushing — let your muscles relax so your bladder can empty properly.
• Avoid straining when you p**p. Bearing down creates extra pressure on the pelvic floor and can make it less efficient over time.

If this information feels new, you’re not behind — you’re just finally getting the pelvic health education you should’ve had all along.

Most people see the moment.
They don’t see everything behind it.

Chronic pain isn’t always visible. And it doesn’t follow a schedule.

One day you’re moving normally.
The next day, even getting dressed can feel like too much.

Pain flare-ups are real, unpredictable, and exhausting. At Hinge Health, we focus on helping people understand their pain, building strength gradually, and learning the tools that support better days over time.

That sharp heel pain with your first steps in the morning? It’s a common sign of plantar fasciitis.

As you sleep, the tissue along the bottom of your foot (the plantar fascia) tightens. So when you suddenly stand up, it can create that intense “first step” pain.

One simple trick: gently move and warm up your feet before getting out of bed. Small movements can help prepare the tissue for weight-bearing and make those first steps feel a little easier.

If heel pain keeps showing up in your mornings, targeted exercises and gradual movement can help reduce strain on the plantar fascia over time.

If this sounds familiar, save this routine for tomorrow morning. 👣

Stiff. Achy. Tight?

Let Hinge Health physical therapist Darren Joffe walk you through two simple stretches you can do in under one minute.

1. Supine trunk rotations
Rock your knees side to side, holding 3–5 seconds each way. Great for gentle rotation and morning stiffness.

2. Standing side bends
Hands on hips, lean side to side and hold 3–5 seconds. Helps stretch the low back and improve side mobility.

These movements are simple, but effective for getting your back feeling looser and moving again.

Try a few rounds, especially when you first wake up or after long periods of sitting.

Leaking, pain, pressure, bathroom issues — what feel like separate problems can be connected through the pelvic floor.

These symptoms can show up at any stage of life, and they’re more common (and more treatable) than most people realize.

Understanding what’s actually driving them is the first step toward real relief.
