Dr. Sharlene Hesse-Biber at Boston College is conducting a study about the genetic counseling experiences of self-identified BIPOC men who are BRCA positive, have a family history of cancer, or other genetic mutations. We aim to learn more about their lived experiences with the gene mutation, how they make decisions, and how they are impacted by it. We are looking to learn more about underrepresen
ted and underserved groups of men. If you or someone you know falls into this category and is at high risk of or has been tested for the BRCA 1/2 gene mutation, we hope you will participate in our short confidential survey that asks about your experiences. Please follow this link to read more about the study and take our 20-30 minute survey: http://tinyurl.com/BCMensBRCAStudy
Your experiences are important for contributing valuable information to our study. If you have any questions or concerns, please call Dr. Hesse-Biber at 617.552.4139 or email hesse@bc.edu. This is research is for BRCA-positive men and people who care about them.
