Protecting peace in our communities means creating spaces where everyone feels safe, respected, and supported. Domestic and sexual violence have no place in a healthy society as they cause deep, lasting harm to individuals, families, and communities. It’s important to recognize the signs, speak out against abuse, and stand with survivors without judgment. If you or someone you know is experiencing violence, reaching out for support can be a powerful first step. RAVE is here ready to listen, help, and guide you toward safety and healing. You are not alone, and help is always available.

We’re collecting new or gently used toys to support children staying in our shelter. When kids arrive to stay with us—often during a very difficult time—we like to welcome them with a special toy of their own. We also love being able to give each child a toy on their birthday so they can still feel celebrated and cared for.

Women’s History Month is a time to honor the courage and leadership of women who helped bring domestic violence out of the shadows and fought for safety and justice for survivors. Pioneers such as Ellen Pence, Ruth A. White, and Ester King helped lay the foundation for shelters, hotlines, and advocacy services that support survivors today.

Their work reminds us that the movement to end domestic and sexual violence was built by courageous women who believed everyone deserves to live in safety and dignity.
