Registration is closed!
Dear Focusing community,
We have been stunned by the speed with which registrations came in for the International Focusing Conference happening this June in honor of Gene Gendlin in Vienna. We have had to close registration. It is possible that we will be able to fit in a few more people; that is our hope. However, we cannot promise it.
When we chose the venue, we had in mind that the largest International Focusing Conference had about 250 people. Figuring this one would probably match or exceed that, we found a beautiful venue which was ideal for 250 - 300 people and 350 people if need be. We didn't imagine that only weeks after opening registration, we would already have 350 people on our list.
As I think you know, the deadline for submitting workshop proposals is on Friday (October 31). We have set aside spots for those whose proposals will be accepted. https://focusing.org/more/vienna-call-proposals
We will also need to prioritize those who can take on volunteer tasks, because we will need a strong team, especially if we manage to squeeze in more than 350 people! We have a list of volunteer jobs on the event site. https://focusing.org/more/vienna-volunteer
We are actively looking for ways to accommodate more people, but we don't know how many more we can realistically fit. We are also investigating adding a livestreaming service, so that those who can't be physically present in Vienna might still have at least a taste of the event online.
We know that many of you have been making plans to attend, so we are working as fast as we can to give you answers. We will let you know more when we know more.
Warm regards,
Catherine Torpey
