This month, Chef Don and our amazing culinary team transported us straight to the coast with a scrumptious Mediterranean buffet! Residents and their guests savored every bite of baked cod and chicken, seasoned potatoes, rice, fresh veggies, vibrant Mediterranean salads, and an irresistible selection of desserts. 🍋🐟🍗🥗🍰

🏛️ A Great Day at the Sparks Heritage Museum! 🏛️

Our wonderful residents had a special outing to the Sparks Heritage Museum—and what a meaningful day it was! From exploring the rich history of our hometown to getting surprised with free T-shirts by the kind museum staff, every moment was a treat.

One resident, born and raised right here in Sparks, had a truly unforgettable experience when she spotted her high school graduation photo—and a picture of her father, Sparks’ very first senator, proudly displayed in the museum. 💛

We ended the day on a sweet note with Dairy Queen and headed home with full hearts and big smiles. 🍦

🎄✨ Another fantastic Christmas in July Craft Fair in the books—and our biggest one yet! 🎁💫

From cozy hand-knitted bags and scarves to festive handmade ornaments, stunning paintings, artisanal soaps, and handcrafted jewelry, there was something special for everyone to take home (or gift later!).

🥞 Lunch Outing!

Residents enjoyed a special lunch outing to IHOP—and it was a sweet success! From classic pancakes to frosty milkshakes, everyone savored their favorites while sharing laughs and warm company.

🌺 Summerfest Highlights! 🌺

What a day to remember! Our annual Summerfest was full of sunshine, smiles, and island vibes. Residents and community members soaked up the beautiful weather while enjoying live music from a Hawaiian ukulele band, a dazzling hula dancer, snow cones, and not one—but three whole roasted pigs!

Guests also had the chance to support the Alzheimer’s Association through donations, which entered them into raffles for 3 different themed gift baskets—or the ultimate thrill: a shot at dunking our brave directors in the dunk tank!

A huge mahalo to everyone who came out and made the day so special. We loved celebrating with you and can’t wait to do it all again next year!

🐾❤️ A Surprise Visit from Jack!

Our residents at MorningStar of Sparks got the sweetest surprise — a visit from our driver’s adorable dog, Jack! This four-legged guest stole the show (and our hearts) with his gentle nature and wagging tail.

Jack’s visit brought smiles, laughter, and lots of cuddles — proving once again that a furry friend can brighten anyone’s day!

Thank you, Jack, for being such a good boy and bringing joy to our community!
