Today our Butler County Commissioners passed a resolution declaring the necessity for a 2.0-mill property tax levy for the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities. They will be on the ballot on May 5, 2026. The commissioner's chambers was so full of supporters they had to bring in additional chairs and still, it was standing room only!

This levy is critical. It doesn't expand services; it simply sustains them! Read more about it on page 7 of today's paper.

Increased service demands and outside mandates are putting pressure on the Developmental Disabilities Board budget forcing them to ask voters to support a new tax levy.

Chen has been a valued employee at Miami University for 6 years! 👏

Chen Wang has worked at Miami University's King Library since 2019! Those who work with Chen say that he is a hard worker, very dependable, always has a smile on his face, and is willing to help out with absolutely anything.

Chen said he enjoys his job for many reasons.

"I like talking to the students, and my co-workers are very nice," Chen said. "Being employed makes me feel accomplished because I get to make my own money."

Congratulations, Chen, for working nearly 6 years at Miami University!
