Chen has been a valued employee at Miami University for 6 years! 👏

Chen Wang has worked at Miami University's King Library since 2019! Those who work with Chen say that he is a hard worker, very dependable, always has a smile on his face, and is willing to help out with absolutely anything.

Chen said he enjoys his job for many reasons.

"I like talking to the students, and my co-workers are very nice," Chen said. "Being employed makes me feel accomplished because I get to make my own money."

Congratulations, Chen, for working nearly 6 years at Miami University!

Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities has declared a fiscal emergency and hopes to place a levy issue on the May 2026 Ballot. Learn more about it here and at the Board's website www.butlerdd.org

The Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities has entered into a state of fiscal emergency because its future expenses are projected to outpace its revenue next year.

The Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities is primarily funded through local property taxes. While eliminating property taxes might sound nice, the implications are profound.

Butler County schools and other local entities that provide critical services like police and fire protection would lose $658.2 million in funding if a proposed constitutional amendment eliminating property taxes succeeds.

Congratulations to Toby Crump, February's DSP of the month!

BCBDD SSA, Amber Quincy said the personal sacrifices Toby has made to support those he serves has been remarkable.

"Toby has consistently gone above and beyond for those he serves," Amber said. "As a dedicated house manager for Unbound Living, Inc., he has proven to be an exceptional leader and teammate. Toby is knowledgeable, polite, and always willing to step up, demonstrating both mental and physical resilience in every challenge he faces. What makes Toby's contributions even more remarkable is the personal sacrifice he has made. Most of his family and loved ones live in another state, yet, he remains here in Butler County, steadfastly supporting some of the individuals who need it most."
