This week, Saint James Health was proudly recognized by the City of Newark, NJ - City Hall with an official proclamation commending our work during National Health Center Week (August 3–9, 2025), presented by North Ward Council Member Anibal Ramos

We are deeply grateful to the Newark Municipal Council for this honor and for acknowledging our commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our community — especially to those who need it most.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our incredible staff, providers, board members, and community partners, whose tireless efforts make our mission possible every day.

🔹 Please Join Us in Welcoming Dr. Parveen Gaba to Saint James Health! 🔹

We are proud to welcome Dr. Parveen Gaba, MD, Infectious Disease Physician, to the Saint James Health family!

Dr. Gaba brings over 20 years of clinical experience and academic leadership to our growing team. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Prince George’s Hospital Center in Maryland and recently finished an Infectious Disease Fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, with prior fellowship training at New York-Presbyterian Queens.

Her diverse background includes roles as a hospitalist, internist, educator, and researcher—having served in both academic and community-based settings across the U.S. She has provided primary care, geriatric care through PACE programs, and inpatient services. Dr. Gaba is board certified in Internal Medicine and licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

In addition to her clinical excellence, Dr. Gaba is a published researcher in the field of infectious diseases, contributing to peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations nationwide.

We are thrilled to have her on board and confident that her dedication and expertise will make a lasting impact on our patients and the Newark community.

Our Story

Saint James Health is a community health center located in the East Ward of Newark, NJ. Conveniently located at 228 Lafayette Street, 2nd floor (adult care) and 4th floor (pediatric care) Newark, NJ 07105.

Our services include: Pediatric Health, WIC, Vaccines, Internal Medicine, Geriatric Health, Sports Medicine, Family Planning, OBGYN, Social Work, Integrated Behavioral Health, Laboratory Services, and Pharmacy Services. We're here to serve all residence of the community and beyond. Accepting all insurances, including Medicare, Medicaid, and self pay. We will work with you to make sure all your health care needs are met. We offer services in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Sliding Fee discounts are available.
