If yesterday was hard for you in any way, I hope today feels softer.

And if it doesn’t yet then I hope you at least give yourself permission to be honest about that.

I’m sharing this message from a local business owner because it matters and because it’s easy to forget what real human stories look like when social media turns everything into a debate.

As an immigrant and as a therapist, this hit me deeply.

While people online argue about who’s right, who’s wrong, and who deserves what… this is the part of the human experience we actually sit with in the therapy room. Grief. Displacement. Generational trauma. Love for family. Survival. The weight of being the bridge between worlds. The quiet exhaustion of carrying stories no one sees.

This is the work.
Not hot takes. Not moral high horses.
But listening to stories like this, and recognizing how privilege allows some people to never have to think about them.

Therapy teaches you this fast: people don’t need more shouting. They need to be seen. And when we stay silent about injustice, we’re often protecting comfort, not neutrality.

So I’m amplifying this voice because stories like this are everywhere… even here, locally. And because empathy isn’t political—it’s human.

This is why it matters that we speak up.
This is why compassion has to come before judgment. This is why love, always, is louder than hate.

✨ Asking for help shouldn’t feel so hard… but if you live with ADHD or high-functioning anxiety, you know it often does.

Sometimes it’s fear of being judged. Sometimes it’s not even knowing what you feel or need. And sometimes? Your brain just shuts down from overwhelm and it feels easier to push through alone.

But here’s the truth: needing help doesn’t make you weak. It makes you human. šŸ’›

Hi, I’m Massy šŸ‘‹ā€”a Licensed Professional Counselor, mom of 2, and fellow ADHDer. I share reminders, tools, and real-life reflections to help you untangle anxiety and ADHD without the shame spiral.

Save this post for the days you need courage to reach out—and share it with someone who might need the reminder. You’re not alone. ✨

If I had it my way, every Sunday would include family time, a little prep, something just for me, and a slower night. Truth? It doesn’t always happen—but when it does, the week feels a whole lot lighter. ✨

Do you have a Sunday ritual that helps you feel ready for the week? Share your tips—I’m always looking for new ones šŸ‘€šŸ’Œ

These past few months have been a whirlwind of baby snuggles, sunshine, nature walks, and a few plot twists (looking at you, unexpected hospital stay šŸ˜…).

I’m not back to the office just yet — mid-August! — but I’m starting to ease in… reaching out to existing clients, opening a few fall spots, giving my office space a little glow-up, and feeling that familiar excitement bubble up.

I’ve missed the real, meaningful convos. The quiet breakthroughs. The sacred messiness of being human.

Grateful for this season of pause — and ready to slowly step back into the work I love. šŸ¤

While the world feels like it’s unraveling in so many ways, I’ve been in my own little bubble —navigating the tender, exhausting, beautiful blur of postpartum life.

This is my second time doing this, and I came into it with intention: to protect my peace, my mind, and my family. After struggling with postpartum the first time around, I’ve been fiercely gentle with myself this time. Slower to respond, quicker to rest. Softer with my expectations.

I’ll share more about what I’ve learned and what’s been different this time—especially in hopes that it can help someone else. But for now, I just wanted to check in, say hi, and remind you: you’re allowed to prioritize your wellness, even when the world is heavy. Sending so much love to anyone reading this—you’re not alone. šŸ¤

Life’s been all kinds of exciting lately! ✨ I’ve been deep in prep mode for maternity leave—trying to care for myself and this sweet baby while tying up loose ends at work. Between perioral dermatitis flare-ups, nonstress tests, and high blood pressure… the struggle has been very real.

But my cup has also been full of beautiful moments: heartfelt sessions with clients, new connections, birthday parties, baby showers, and friends moving nearby. It’s been a season of highs and lows, and I’m taking it all in.

Now, I’m getting ready for what’s next: stepping into life as a mom of two āœŒļø and temporarily stepping away from the practice I love. I’m endlessly grateful for my clients’ grace and trust—it’s not lost on me how special that is.

I hope to share more as it feels right. I’m committed to showing up when it’s real—not just for content or likes, but for connection. That’s always been my way. 🌸

Feeling stuck in old wounds? Healing is hard, but staying in the past is even harder. Sometimes, without realizing it, we hold onto patterns that keep us there. What if you chose something different?

✨Blaming Others Forever → Reclaiming Your Power – Acknowledging what happened while also recognizing that your healing is in your hands.
✨ Avoiding Self-Reflection → Embracing Self-Compassion – Looking at your patterns not to judge yourself, but to understand and support your growth.
✨ Thinking Healing Means Excusing Harm → Understanding It’s for You – Letting go doesn’t mean what happened was okay—it means you deserve peace.
✨ Suppressing Emotions → Giving Yourself Permission to Feel – Your feelings are valid. Processing them is part of healing, not a sign of weakness.
✨ Seeking Validation from the Wrong People → Learning to Validate Yourself – You don’t have to prove your worth to anyone. You are already enough.
✨ Reenacting the Past → Choosing New Patterns – Familiar doesn’t always mean safe. You have the power to create something different.
✨ Clinging to the ā€˜Wounded Child’ Identity → Embracing Your Whole Self – Your past is part of you, but it doesn’t define you. You are so much more.
✨ Fearing Change → Trusting Yourself – Growth can feel uncomfortable, but you are capable of navigating it with courage and care.
✨ Expecting Others to Fix It → Taking Small Steps for Yourself – Support is important, but your healing journey is your own. Even small steps matter.
✨ Minimizing Your Pain → Honoring Your Experience – Your feelings and experiences are real. Giving yourself the compassion you needed back then can be deeply healing.

It’s time to decide you’re worth more than staying stuck in your wounds ā™„ļø
