Breaking News — AANP released data showing the No. 1 ranked health care job has grown. As demand for health care continues to increase, there are now more than 355,000 licensed NPs in the U.S. — an increase of 9% from the estimated 325,000 reported in May 2021. “Nurse practitioners are answering the call to provide vital health care services to all Americans,” said AANP President Dr. April Kapu, ensuring communities across the nation will have access to high-quality care. Kapu continued, “Today’s nurse practitioner count indicates that demand for these highly-qualified clinicians continues to be on the rise — and for good reason.”

Did you know the percentage of full-time Nurse Practitioners in the long-term care sector more than doubled in 10 years?! Not only do NPs in LTC settings treat acute medical problems early, which helps in preventing adverse outcomes; but they also play an important role in supporting the families and other staff in the facility.
