Syndel is proud to sponsor Kentucky State University’s School of Aquaculture and Aquatic Science's Largemouth Bass Farming Conference next week.

This free event brings together farmers, researchers, and industry professionals to tackle current challenges and opportunities in largemouth bass production.

Sessions will cover fish health, nutrition, production technologies, water-quality management, and emerging market trends. Specialists from the Fish Disease Diagnostic Laboratory and the Aquaculture Research Center will share practical strategies to improve survival and reduce economic losses for producers.

Bellingham, Washington is excited to host Salmon Summit 2025!

It brings together restoration professionals, researchers, students, and partners dedicated to supporting salmon recovery in the Nooksack Basin and beyond. You're invited to join engaging discussions on a range of topics, including salmon populations, hatchery management, restoration projects, fish passage, and monitoring programs.

The summit features student poster presentations and vendor tradeshow where you can learn how companies are contributing to salmon recovery. The event will conclude with an open house with refreshments to offer additional opportunities to connect with colleagues, collaborators, and industry leaders.

Syndel would like to share an updated report put together by The World Bank on the topic of Aquaculture.

In 2007, The World Bank published Changing the Face of the Waters: Meeting the Promise and Challenges of Sustainable Aquaculture; a landmark report that outlined the opportunities and challenges of sustainable aquaculture. The report helped shape global thinking on aquaculture’s potential to contribute to economic growth, food security, and environmental protection.

In 2025, The World Bank published Harnessing the Waters: A Trillion Dollar Investment Opportunity in Sustainable Aquaculture; it revisits the previous report with a new focus on finance. The new report follows case studies of seven key industries and examines how financial systems have supported or hindered sector development and investment.

2025 Pacific Northwest Indigenous Aquaculture Summit

First Nations and tribes have aquaculture operations across the US and Canada. Syndel is proud to be a part of the 2025 Pacific Northwest Summit unfolding in Sequim, WA.

This years’ event will feature sessions on trout, lamprey, salmon, and sturgeon aquaculture; sockeye restoration; traditional clam gardens; seaweed and kelp farming; and shellfish operations including oysters, cockles, and geoduck.

Other topics to be covered include enterprise marketing, aquaculture policy, advocacy, tribal-led innovations, advancing food sovereignty, and economic opportunity. Day three has multiple hands-on learning opportunities with tours to various aquaculture sites in the area.
