On July 4, 2025, Sailors assigned to Naval Medical Readiness Logistics Command and other installation components, took part in a star spangled morning and marched proudly in the annual Fourth of July Parade in Historic Yorktown, Virginia.

The following is the excerpt from the script read by the announcer as our element marched past the reviewing stand:

"Representing the United States Navy, which celebrates its 250th Birthday in October of this year, are Sailors from Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. The installation is York County's largest employer, and is commanded by Captain Dan Patrick who assumed command in 2023.

The Sailors passing before you are assigned to the installation's award-winning Scudder Hall Galley, Navy Cargo Handling Battalion One, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group, and the Naval Medical Readiness Logistics Command.

Chief Sunshine Santiago is the senior enlisted member in this year's marching element, and rendering honors to the reviewing stand is Ensign James Kramer."

A variety of photos captured from the parade are posted here. BZ to all of the Sailors who represented the installation and their respective tenant commands!
