👋🏻 Please join us in giving a very warm welcome to Kristen Warrington, who joins our team of dedicated Certified Nurse Midwives!
Kristen graduated with honors from Frontier Nursing University with her Masters of Science in Nursing and Certified Nurse-Midwife.
Initially drawn to cardiac nursing, Kristen’s first nursing role unexpectedly placed her at a free-standing birth center - an experience that profoundly shifted her perspective on low-risk birth. She found physiologic birth to be safe, empowering, and transformative when practiced in the right context. This experience at the Birth Center planted seeds for Kristen’s deep interest in maternal and infant health.
Kristen explored various nursing roles, but ultimately found her passion rooted in neonatal intensive care (NICU). While completing her BSN, she became deeply engaged in evidence-based practice and began exploring how upstream interventions - starting even before conception- can significantly improve neonatal outcomes. This realization motivated her to shift her focus toward midwifery care.
Kristen is especially passionate about advocating for women and gender-diverse individuals through every stage of life. She is committed to addressing the systematic inequities that persist in women’s healthcare. She strives to ensure her patients feel informed, empowered, and actively involved in their health decisions.
Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with her two children, her husband, three dogs, and a ‘grand’ tortoise. She finds joy in gardening, tending to her tropical plants, and going deep down on research rabbit holes.
