Hurricane Helene has been a teacher & healer for me. A time of discovery, grief, love, creativity, acceptance, inner wisdom and so much more. Thank you, Helene, for shining your light.

Here are some updates from me at Just Be:
💜 Now - February I will be open in Hot Springs NC at a temporary location with limited services/hours. Much thanks and love to Blue Ridge Hiking Company for allowing me to offer mindful massage sessions to HS locals in the Appalachian Trail-er. Seriously, my soul loves caring for this community!!!

💜 I have been working at Ebb & Flow Massage Therapy Center. Sharing my love in Asheville NC has been a blessing. Plus, I have been able to collaborate with other amazing folks with healing hands. I am a better therapist because of this experience. Big hugs to my teacher Adam and his partner Lauren for welcoming me into their healing family during this time.

💜 I received a scholarship to attend Esalen in Big Sur CA for a 'Esalen Massage & Meditation' workshop in January 2025!!! This is a dream come true, AMAZING! I will return changed, resourced and renewed to bring back even more love to WNC.

💜 With support from family/friends/clients/community and complete strangers, I will be able to rebuild when the time is right. So far, I have raised $1875 in monetary donations + ~$2000 in equipment donations. WOW!!!! I'm humbled and honored with each breath I take. Here is love. We give it, we receive it. Yes, sadly the tranquil healing space that I created one year ago flooded, and the majority of my equipment/supplies were damaged. I am very proud of my accomplishments as a first-time local business owner, and am looking forward to re-opening a new space for Hot Springs residents and visitors to experience restoration in the future.

I highly recommend this book. Through COVID, Keith's cancer/chemo, and now Helene, Pema Chodron's wisdom has guided me with grit and grace.
