The Connecticut Policy Institute (CPI) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit research organization dedicated to developing responsible, research driven public policy for Connecticut. The Institute also seeks to provide citizens easy access to a broad range of thoughtful analysis and other reliable information on politics and state government. The Institute hopes to provide citizens who are not directly involved in government or politics, but who care about Connecticut’s future, an easy way to stay well-informed and engage in the political dialogue. The Connecticut Policy Institute believes a strong voice for responsible, research-based public policy is needed more than ever to raise the quality of political discourse and to help political leaders steer Connecticut into the future. The CPI believes that making it easier for citizens to stay well informed and engaged in state politics will result in more responsive political leadership and better decision-making in state government.
