To all the many followers, veterans, MST survivors – I would like to thank you for providing Me with the opportunity these last 8 years supporting and guiding each of you on your journey of mental wellness, self-advocacy, as you navigate the chaotic system of finding supportive mental health services and groups so that you do not have to navigate this journey alone. I have been diligently working at developing my skills to provide further mental health support in a professional setting. As we all know, services specific to sexual trauma within the armed services with minimal support creates additional challenges in the healing process can be arduous identifying mental health professionals that understand the unique challenges healing can be from that.
I have recently opened my practice here in Vero Beach, Florida where I find the greatest version of myself and the space to heal. I would like to invite each of you to follow my Office page as I begin to unify the MST Survivor Project with Orchid Island Wellness and Counseling. Supportive resources do not change; however, I would like to be sure that each of you can continue to find the support each of you uniquely need. Currently I am licensed in the state of Florida and Washington, with the intent of identifying clinicians that understand the dynamics of Military Sexual Trauma and challenges in the healing process.
I look forward to furthering the goals of increasing mental health services to those who have been adversely impacted by Military Sexual Trauma and welcome your feedback with how Orchid Island Wellness and Counseling can continue to raise awareness, increase access to mentals health services, and navigate this much needed support within the veteran, active-duty military communities and their families.
Warm Regards,
Bonnie A. Walker LCSW, CCTP, C-DBT, CMIP (Navy Veteran, Founder of the MST Survivor Project, MST Survivor, Owner of Orchid Island Wellness and Counseling
