It’s one of the most common questions I get, and the answer is always no.

We treat professionals, parents, newlyweds, and even retirees who want to invest in themselves.
Because confidence isn’t just for the yearbook photo, it’s for boardrooms, reunions, first dates, and everyday life.

One of my favorite moments is when an adult patient finishes Invisalign and says, "I finally love my smile." That never gets old.

Today I’m celebrating a milestone that warms my heart — it's been one year since I took the helm at Smiles at France in Edina! Over these past 12 months, I’ve had the privilege of caring for so many amazing individuals—from longtime patients who’ve trusted me for years, to wonderful new faces from Edina, Minneapolis, Bloomington, Eden Prairie and beyond.

I’m profoundly grateful to each patient who stepped into our practice. Your trust, stories, and smiles continue to inspire me every single day. Thank you for making this journey so meaningful.
I also want to express my deepest appreciation to my incredible team—your dedication and compassion have truly shaped the warm, personalized experience we offer at Smiles at France.
I’m genuinely excited for what’s coming next. I look forward to deepening our connections within the Edina community—whether through outreach events, wellness partnerships, or educational programs. Dear Patients of Smiles at France,

My name is Allison Helget and I am excited to introduce myself as the new owner and dentist for Smiles at France. The opportunity to continue providing you with the highest standard of dental care is an honor and privilege. Please be assured the excellent service and compassionate care you have grown accustomed to with Dr. Cook will be my highest priority. I am committed to maintaining the same warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that each visit is comfortable and stress-free.

Like Dr. Cook, I received my dental degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, I spent my first year practicing in North Carolina near Camp Lejeune primarily with veterans. Since moving back to Minnesota in 2020, I have been the lead dentist at a practice in East St. Paul. My passion for dentistry has kept me busy pursuing continuing education courses in advanced dental care. My commitment to staying current in dental technology and techniques will ensure you receive the best care available. We will be adding services to Smiles at France including orthodontic aligners, Botox and dermal fillers. We have future plans to incorporate three-dimensional imaging as well as providing implant surgery to replace missing teeth.

My partner Erik and I enjoy spending time on the lake, whether it be paddle-boarding, kayaking, or fishing. We are Aunt Alli and Uncle Erik to five nephews and two nieces, and we love spending time with them as each year flies by.

The familiar faces of our dedicated team will remain. As an added bonus, we will be adding a furry friend, Harper. Harper has been an emotional support dog for the past four years and she loves meeting new friends.

Thank you for your continued trust in Smiles at France. I look forward to meeting you personally and partnering with you in maintaining your beautiful smile and optimal oral health.

This has been a memorable year. 50 years as a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of
America, Central Division (PSIA -C) and 40 years of my own private dental practice.

I remember my first PSIA-C, it feels like it was yesterday. David Nelson and Bob Boyd were my examiners at Hardscrabble, WI. They would become years long friends and mentors, Thank you!

Being part of PSIA-C, the people I have met and befriended have meant more to me than any other professional organization. Many of you have helped me grow personally and professionally. Thank you!
