We are beyond thankful for the wonderful nurses that we get to work with every day alongside our clients. Nurses can move mountains and we’re lucky enough to have such a great community of nurses here in the DMV. Thank you for all that you do!

Did you have an amazing nurse at your birth or in postpartum? Tell us about them in the comments!

May is Maternal Mental Health Month. 1 in 5 new parents will experience some type of perinatal mood and anxiety disorder (PMADs) This number is likely much higher due to all the unreported cases. If we want to lower these statistics we must prioritize mental health and postpartum care. America in particular really lets its new parents down when it comes to any type of postpartum support system. We need paid family leave, affordable and accessible healthcare, affordable child support for working parents, and we need to destigmatize mental health disorders. Visit wmhd.postpartum.net to find out how you can get involved.

April 21-27 is an estimated 1-6 people worldwide are affected by infertility and these numbers do not include single parents by choice or the LGBTQIA community.

This past year reproductive rights were attacked even further when the Alabama Supreme Court went for IVF. Families who were waiting for transfers were denied in fear of legal action being taken against the clinics if the transfer were to not be successful. Families who had been waiting for years to grow had been indefinitely put on hold while the government stepped further into our reproductive rights. Please visit to learn ways in which you can help speak up and advocate for infertility awareness and reproductive justice.
