If you’re new to the breed, grooming is a big part of keeping that coat healthy and manageable! Bernedoodles typically need a full groom every 6–8 weeks, along with regular brushing at home (ideally a few times a week) to prevent matting, especially in high-friction areas like behind the ears, under the legs, and around the collar.

The good news? If life gets busy or you miss a few brush sessions, you can shave them all the way down. Sure, they’ll look a little like a fuzzy rat for a while 🤪, but maintenance will be minimal until their hair grows back in, and they’ll feel just fine about it.
