Encapsulating your placenta is a safe and healthy way to help your body transition through your postpartum period. It is a fabulous way to help avoid the baby blues and treat symptoms of postpartum depression. Research has proven that the placenta is rich in minerals, vitamins, and nutrients. Your placenta is created by you and contains your own natural hormones. The placenta retains these hormones following birth and reintroducing them to your system is believed to ease postpartum hormonal fluctuations. Benefits of ingesting your encapsulated placenta include:
Replenishing your iron
Increasing your energy
Lessen postnatal bleeding
Increase milk production
Balance your hormones
Help uterus return to the pre-pregnancy state quicker.

A recent client of ours donated her amniotic sac because she had a personal story of how well the amnion heals.

“My grandmother had a diabetic wound on her foot that wasn’t healing. She got a wound dressing made out of the amnion at the wound care center and her wound finally started to heal!”

If you are expecting a baby, please don’t throw the placenta away. We can facilitate donation of the amnion to wound care which is FDA approved.

The donation does not interfere with encapsulation either!

The placenta in this cooler is going to help others!

Some moms do not want to ingest their placenta. The placenta can still be put to good use though!

We have a program where the amniotic sac can be donated to wound care! People with severe burns, diabetic ulcers, bed sores, and non-healing surgical wounds, benefit from these bandages made out of the amniotic sac.

Our donation only clients still receive a placenta cooler, and pick up service from their birth location. Easy peasy!

The placenta is such a beautiful, life giving organ for new babies and others!

~Donation does not interfere with encapsulation if a mom wishes to encapsulate.

When one mom cries, we all cry.

Our hearts hurt at the complete devastation brought on by the floods this past weekend. We have had many clients in the hardest hit areas. Our thoughts and prayers are with our clients, their families, and all of the people that have been so hurt by this tragedy.

Beautiful cord keepsake. This cord had a true knot in it. We always keep true knots in the cord when we form them into the heart shape. True knots are rare. They occur in about 1-2% of births.

True knots are believed to be a sign of good luck, or a symbol that the child born will bring good luck to their family.

Some moms don’t want to encapsulate. That’s ok! There are so many other things we can prepare with the placenta. This mom opted for tinctures and a bunch of herbal products! The herbal products are safe to use on baby and the whole family as well! She also donated her amniotic sac to wound care.

A sweet review of a different kind of service we helped with recently. This sweet mama had a miscarriage and wanted to keep her baby with her in an urn. We were honored to be called to help with this and give this mama some peace during a very sad time.

"If you have any hesitation on who you should use and trust to treat your need with attention and care, look no further. My situation was definitely abnormal, but Lisa is such a sweet soul. I gave birth to my first child in Tennessee and my doula offered placenta encapsulation and was very informative of that process. So I had a basic understanding of what was going to happed with my placenta for it to be encapsulated. In late March of 2025, I found myself miscarrying at 6 weeks or so. When it was happening, I panicked and was able to save some of the tissue I passed and put it into the fridge. The following morning, I googled placenta encapsulation near me, and found Hill Country Placentas and called the number listed. I left a very scattered voicemail asking for someone to please reach out to me, as I was not sure what if anything, could be done to save my tissue. Lisa texted back promptly saying that she was at an event, but would be happy to meet with me to pick up the tissue. She said that she could dehydrate the tissue for me and send the ashes back to me. She met me half way (I live in San Antonio so we met in New Braunfels) and I gave her the tissue. Soon after, Lisa mailed me the ashes which we were able to put in a tiny urn. She also did not charge me a penny, saying that she suffered her own loss and did services like this in memory of her little one she lost. I have no idea what I would have done with out Lisa at Hill Country Placentas. I was an emotional wreck and my husband and I will not soon forget the kind service she provided to our family."
