Preparing for 2022! 42 soon and planning for the best shape of my life. Life has gotten a bit crazy the last couple years for all of us but it’s time to think about not only our physical health but our mental health and how to uplift others, to be the best we can be physically and mentally! I know from experience, that the better I feel, the more I can give to others! Let’s make a goal this next year, to uplift ourselves and everyone we meet!

Fitness and diet during Covid:

I’ve had several people ask me how to stay in shape during Covid without a gym. Well there are many options if we get creative! First off weight control is 80% diet and 20% fitness. The fact is calorie deficit creates weight loss. 3500 calorie deficit creates 1lb of weight loss. That sounds like a lot but depending on your Your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) Personal health factors and genetics, determine how much you lose sitting on your butt each day. It’s an average but if weigh 160 at 35years of age is about 1600est plus fitness per day. The question if cardio is better than weight training.. Weight training is almost certainly better because of your increased muscle mass and its ability to continue to burn more calories at rest. Doesnt mean you get oversized muscles weight training if you don’t want them just means fat burning if structured correctly. Sets, reps, intensity and weight determines how muscle fibers break down and rebuild. A mix of both is essential as cardio creates stamina and internal health but over time weight training creates fat burn!
