I have been a massage therapist in the California Bay Area for twenty years. I started my mobile massage business in 2016. "Sacré Vous" is a play on the French expletive "sacré vous". It means "holy you". I believe that our bodies are sacred temples and should be maintained as such. I provide on-location massage at homes, hospitals, elder care facilities, corporate wellness events and private parties throughout the California Bay Area. I arrive with a portable table and table warmer, music, linens and complimentary aromatherapy. I bring wellness to your door!
In addition to being a massage therapist, singer/Songwriter and mom, I am also a part time rehabilitative nurse assistant and am about three quarters of the way through an online bachelor's in Public Health. I work two half days a week in the rehab department of a small hospital providing bedside range of motion exercises for brain injury patients. I massage them as well.
Throughout my career as a massage therapist, I have been privileged to work with many hospital and care facility patients, including many with neurological conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's, stroke, coma, MS and ALS. Being a stroke survivor, I very much enjoy working with brain injury patients and in some cases being able witness their recovery over time. Another group I really like working with are end-of-life patients, and I have worked with many in my career. I am honored when I can help smooth theor transition with some relaxation and pain relief.
I believe emphatically in the healing power of touch! To have witnessed over the years so many of my clients getting off of the table with their pain, stiffness and emotional stress gone has been such a blessing. My clients who deal with chronic pain and illness often tell me me that of all the medical treatments and procedures they receive, massage is what makes them FEEL the best. The way we feel plays such a big part in our overall health. Twice, I have even had clients tell me that before they started receiving regular massage, their chronic pain was so great that they were suicidal, and that massage allowed them to be functional in the world. I firmly believe that massage therapy should be a part of routine healthcare covered by insurance, and that medical clinics should have massage therapists on-staff. I hope to one day utilize the policy-making training I am receiving in my Public Health program and my contacts in the medical field to help make this a reality.
