Happy September, The beginning of ‘meteorological fall’! Looking forward to campfires, open windows with cooler air and all the things that autumn brings. Did you know there’s a particular acupuncture treatment that can help us adapt to the ‘change of season’? Abrupt changes in weather and indoor/outdoor activity can be a challenge to our immune systems, muscular systems and even our moods! In Chinese medicine, autumn is a time associated with lung and large intestine. We may find we are exposed to illnesses involving these organs, acupuncture can give you just the most you need to help fight them off! Autumn is also associated with grief and being on a ‘stuck’ mindset. Acupuncture can also help us process and release the difficult emotions that can come up at these times.
