Lice Clinics Northern Iowa
Our Story…
Lice Clinics of America Northern Iowa, started in January 2018 with our first clinic opening in Dubuque, IA. The owners/sisters, Bess Hayes and Kellie Hancock were dealing with head lice on their very own children, and they were at their wits end. There were a lot of tears, stress, and late-night nit picking. The sisters were finally able to take care of it after someone had come to them and said there was a place that would take care of it, in just one hour. After doing their research they decided that every town needs a Lice Clinics of America. The two of them decided to open up their second location in Des Moines, IA. This clinic just opened up in February of 2019.
Bess currently resides in Dubuque. She has called Dubuque home for the past 29 years. She has a significant other of 12 years and they have an 11 year old son, and soon to be a daughter coming this July. She enjoys family, friends, traveling, and music. In her free time she likes to play volleyball, be artsy, and go camping. Prior to opening up Lice Clinics of America, Bess worked at Medline for 10 years.
Kellie hasn’t lived in Dubuque for quite as many years as Bess but she has called Dubuque home for the past 27 years. Kellie is married and has 3 daughters, that keep her very busy. When Kellie has free time, she likes to be with her family and friends. She enjoys doing anything outdoors when the weather is warm. Kellie graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 2009 with her Surgical Technology degree. She worked at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, for 10 years before beginning the journey of the Lice Clinics with Bess.
