Working with many clients over the years, I’ve found that people learn to “live with” their uncomfortable symptoms. I’m telling you right now, it DOES NOT have to be that way. There is hope for you to feel better. 😊 Reach out if you want to learn more about my work and the programs I offer.

And so it begins! 👩🏼🌾 I planted my cold tolerant veggies already (don’t mind the orange peels around my greens; they can help keep bugs in check! 😁). Also, this year I’m giving seed starts a try for the veggies that I’ll transplant in May! 🍅🫑🌶️🌽🥒Wish me luck! I already have a few popping up! 🌱 It’s super exciting!
Is your garden going yet? Have you ever started veggies from seeds? 🙂

Hi! My name is Megan and I am the owner of Bend Your Nutrition, a virtual nutrition practice based in Sublimity Oregon, serving clients near and far! I am a former junk food ju**ie, turned health food foodie! I have always loved food! Cooking and baking are two of my favorite hobbies, but I fell into the nutrition world without even knowing it would become my passion in life. I am a Certified Functional and Holistic Nutritional Therapist targeting digestive issues along with food sensitivities to get to the root cause of chronic health issues. I guide my clients through this process by using a whole-body and mind approach, working towards optimal health and wellness. We always adjust diet and lifestyle and if indicated, I utilize lab tests and supplemental support to help bring the body back into balance.
I want my clients to learn how to reach optimal health through a variety of measures including diet and lifestyle, but also allow for appropriate flexibility in life. We are human and on occasion, we may want to indulge in a sweet treat for example. Having the knowledge about the kind of sweet treat we’re eating and the mindset of knowing it’s not an everyday habit; this is where strength and willpower are built. My personal rule is the 90/10 rule. This means that 90% of the time, I eat my very best, consuming whole, organic nutrient dense foods including lots of colorful veggies and fruit, grass fed meat, free-range chicken and eggs, wild caught fish, etc...On the flip side, 10% of the time, I will give myself a pass to eat at restaurants, go to BBQ’s, birthday parties, happy hours, have coffee and a pastry with a friend, etc... I pick and choose when and what I want to “indulge” in because it’s not a daily habit. Knowing that it’s there 10% of the time is enough flexibility to keep me on track 90% of the time. When people working through their healing journey, they may have to be a little more strict in the beginning, but it’s only temporary until the body comes back into balance.
Through my training, I discovered that I had my own digestive issues. These issues were affecting my life and causing symptoms that I thought were “normal.” Turns out, those symptoms were a direct result of my body and my immune system dealing with my diet and my digestive issues. This led to various symptoms like headaches, muscle aches, brain fog, stomach bloating, skin issues, fatigue, etc... I even developed multiple food and chemical sensitivities due to my digestive issues. Certain foods were actually harming me rather than helping me, even though they were totally healthy foods!!!
As a Functional and Holistic Nutritional Therapist, my goal is to create awareness about how food impacts our body, both positively and negatively. I want to create a safe place for people to feel comfortable talking about their digestive issues. We all eat food, our body processes it, and then we p**p it out. It’s part of our function, and there should be no shame in discussing it, especially if we are struggling in this area of our health. We do NOT have to suffer from digestive issues. There are many ways to minimize or eliminate these symptoms, and that’s what I want people to know. I am here to help, and I know firsthand how difficult it is to discuss these issues and to change habits (remember, I am a former junk food ju**ie!), but I’m SO glad I did. I opened up a whole new world for myself and my health. Now it’s your turn to feel better! If this resonates with you and you would like learn more, I would love to chat with you!
