What does your tongue say about your health?

🌿Did you know your tongue can reveal a lot about your health? In Chinese medicine, the surface of the tongue is a powerful tool for diagnosing disorder in the body.👅
Each section of the tongue corresponds to different organ systems:
🔹 Tip: Heart & Lungs ❤️
🔹 Center: Spleen & Stomach 🍽️
🔹 Sides: Liver & Gallbladder 🍃
🔹 Root: Kidneys & Bladder 💧
By examining the color, shape, and coating of your tongue, Chinese medicine practitioners (acupuncturists) can gain insights into your overall well-being and identify imbalances. For example, red dots on the liver section means something different than cracks in the coating through the stomach area.
Changes to the tongue can happen quickly. This means acupuncturists can monitor your tongue during a treatment to see if their needle application is creating the desired effects in your body! 🤯
