Tonic True Nature Tonic events support local art, music, nature, and holistic healing modalities. We serve drinks based with maple, birch and black walnut saps.

Tonic is a pop-up, traveling "happier hour" where the wellness crowd is gathering to connect, network, learn, and unwind consciously. Each event will feature a new collection of local "talent" and artists and feature a themed "playshop" at the start. Playshops range from art classes, to yoga nidra (relaxing and restorative yoga), to laughter meditation, to psychotherapy, to nature and adventure workshops, to educational wellness talks. Each playshop will be 30 minutes, followed by time to enjoy music, dance, and peruse wellness arts and refreshments. Our menu changes seasonally as we connect to the land around us and is rooted in the tree waters that flow freely in the Spring. We also partner with local farmers and herbalists to create foods and drinks that are deeply healing and interesting! As teachers, we work with local schools on tree tap and stewardship programs, empowering our youth to use their voices to create the change that is needed. Join us and get your weekend off to a healthful start. Please follow this page for updates! This is a traveling event. If you'd like to host us at your venue let us know!

🌿✨ Rooted in Nature ✨🌿

Lately, we’ve been spending a lot of time connecting with the land around the River House and Grandma’s house in Dayton. Our Brahma Kamal — the “Queen of the Night” — surprised us with nearly 20 blooms this season. We saved many and made a special signature tea that we’ll be sharing with guests at the River House. The health and wellness qualities of this plant feel endless! 🌸

The passion flower vine outside is still wild and beautiful, and we found elderberry bushes loaded this year. We’ve been harvesting and we’ll soon be making syrup to stock the apothecary shelves for both Airbnbs — little ways to bring the season into the space and share it with everyone who visits.

Foraging through the seasons has become such a meaningful part of the Tonic mission. It’s about more than food and medicine — it’s about learning, connecting, and slowing down together. We’ll be planning a few small group outings soon, including a pawpaw walk along the Little Miami River.

We’re also getting ready for the International Herb Symposium—where we’ll bring the SoBar, and the —in partnership with the Unity Project. Thanks to our community, since 2017, for your support as together we keep finding ways to weave plants, wellness, and community together.

If you want to be part of any of the foraging days, nature walks, or upcoming events, reach out — we’d love to have you join us. 🌱

If you’d like to book a True Nature experience or retreat, check out our listings and reach out for our concierge retreat creation services—it’s one of our favorite things to do!

🌿✨ Exciting things are happening in Warren County! We’re honored to be in partnership with the Be One of Us campaign, a collaboration between Warren County Safe Communities, Warren County Health District, Atrium Medical Center, the Talbert House and the Arrive Alive Tour.

A impaired driving simulator will be at 3rd Friday on Mulberry on August 15th from 5pm-11pm, in downtown Lebanon on Mulberry. We will be on site with our mobile Sobar offering drinks featured from the winners of an upcoming moctail contest—that YOU can enter. Info below!

We had a great time on set with Lebanon Channel 6, sharing the heart behind Tonic True Nature—our mission of reconnection: to nature, to community, and to ourselves.

As we talked about today, creating mindful, healthful, and intentional drinks is about more than skipping alcohol—it’s about deepening our relationship with the land, the seasons, and our own well-being. 🌱

We’re also thrilled to announce a “mocktail” contest happening next week on August 11th at 6pm
Talbert House 204 Cook rd.

We’re looking for mixologists, herbalists, creatives, and beverage lovers—anyone with an idea for a next-level alcohol-free drink experience.

We had the best time this weekend at the Todd’s Fork Revival — year four of bringing this local bluegrass festival back to life on the same land where it all started in the 1970s. It’s pretty special to see local musicians carrying on the tradition and making it their own.

We brought the Tonic bar out and spent the weekend making drinks, catching tunes, and connecting with an amazing community along the Todd’s Fork branch of the Little Miami River.
It’s always wonderful to collaborate with Steve Areen and his incredible Unity Wagon. We left feeling inspired and full of ideas, including a new one we’re calling The Unity Project, a way to keep building on this energy of connection, creativity, and revival. Stay tuned!

Huge thanks to everyone who helped bring the weekend to life 💚

Yesterday was a good day. ☀️💛

Big thanks to everyone who stopped by at the Yellow Springs Street Fair! We had a great time connecting, sharing our drinks, and being part of such a vibrant, creative community.

It was also a treat to spend time near the Unity Wagon and sharing some of our seasonal elderflower cordial. Steve Areen creates such a welcoming and imaginative space wherever he goes, and we were glad to offer a taste of the season to folks who came by the brews fest.

We have a few more festivals coming up this season that we’ll be announcing soon. Including the annual river cleanup and harvest celebration, River Vibes, September 21st. And as always, you can privately reserve us—or retreat with us anytime for private events, weddings, etc. Tonictruenature.com 🌿
