Your story matters.
It truly does - because YOU matter.

Your experiences and your journey have shaped who you are today. Whether you've faced struggle, celebrated joy, explored your identity, or simply lived day by day- your story is valid.
For the Deaf and signing communities, storytelling goes beyond words- it lives in hands, expressions, culture, and connection. This design honors that truth, showing that language comes in many beautiful forms- and each one deserves to be seen and told.

✨ Your story is enough.
💥 It’s powerful.
💛 It’s important.

And we’re here to celebrate that with open hearts and open hands.

👕 Available as shirts & stickers.
🎨 Designed by the amazing Deaf artist, Tim - amplifying Deaf creativity through every line and color.

Our online childbirth education class is truly one of a kind—taught in American Sign Language with a modern and inclusive approach to childbirth.

We first offered in-person classes and later expanded online to reach even more families.

The photos above capture just a glimpse of the 27 cohorts we've been honored to teach.

We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the ’ journeys, ensuring that every family leaves our class feeling empowered, informed, and confidently prepared for their journey through the pregnancy, labor/birth, postpartum and beyond.

Why do we love birth photography? 📸

Births are a blur. One moment you’re in it, and the next, it’s over. Birth photography gives us a way to look back and actually remember all the little moments that made up that incredible day.

A photo freezes everything—every emotion, every reaction, every detail you might have missed in the chaos. It captures the love, the support, the hard work, and the pure magic of bringing a baby into the world.

It’s not just about the baby—it’s about everything. The people in the room, the hands that held you, the tears, the laughter, the relief. These pictures tell the story of one of the biggest days of your life, and that’s why we love them.

Did you have a birth photographer? How did that go?

Who decides where you give birth?

YOU do.

How do you choose?

Pick a birthing location that makes you feel excited, comfortable, and safe—whether that's a hospital, birth center, or home.

For Deaf birthing individuals:

🩺 Hospitals are required to cover ASL interpreter expenses.

🏡 Out-of-hospital births (home births, birth centers) may not cover ASL interpreters due to funding limitations. However, you can work with your midwife to create a communication plan that best supports you.

Why is the first labor usually long?
(Not everyone’s will be, but for most, it is!)

Your body is experiencing labor and birth for the first time. Your muscles are learning what they need to do to bring your little one into the world. The cervix is also working through multiple phases—softening, thinning, and opening—which can take longer in a first-time birth.

What can you do?

👀Once labor starts, try to ignore it until you can’t anymore.
😮‍💨Rest, hydrate, and distract yourself with relaxing activities.
🏠Stay home as long as possible and head to your birth setting when contractions establish a consistent pattern.

Did you know the umbilical cord is one of the most incredible parts of pregnancy? Here are some mind-blowing facts about this magical lifeline:

🩸 The umbilical cord delivers oxygen and nutrients straight from the placenta to your baby, keeping them nourished and growing!
🔄 Most umbilical cords have three vessels: one vein carrying oxygen-rich blood to the baby and two arteries carrying waste away.
🌀 The cord naturally twists like an old-school phone cord, preventing it from kinking and blocking blood flow.
📏 The average umbilical cord is about 20-24 inches long, but some can grow over 35 inches!
🩹 After birth, the cord is clamped and cut, leaving behind the belly button, which heals on its own within 1-3 weeks.
💉 The cord contains powerful stem cells that can be stored and used in medical treatments for years to come.

The umbilical cord is truly amazing—a temporary organ with a lifelong impact!

Did you get to see the umbilicial cord after birth? What was that like for you?
