Established in Jan. 2018 by the Dalton family in memory of Michael Dalton, who died from an accidental op**te overdose on January 13, 2018 at the age of 39. Think of Michael provides those in need with an opportunity to create a new way of life and achieve long term sobriety by funding sober house scholarships. Sober housing is an important piece in sustaining long term recovery, but is not covered by insurance. This often makes sober homes tough to get in to for people coming right out of long-term treatment without financial assistance as they are usually also trying to re-enter the workforce at the same time having been without income for the duration of their treatment and some have to pay out of pocket thousands of dollars just to receive their treatment from a reputable treatment facility. Our goal is to assist as much as possible to reduce peopleโs stress during this fragile transition time in someoneโs early recovery.
