✨ A little gem for going into Cowboy Christmas. If your horse isn’t working well, it is probably not feeling well!💡

❤️ The difference between these two runs is a horse that is now feeling better and saddle fit issues were addressed. He wasn’t working the rope because he couldn’t engage his hind end and the saddle pressure was uncomfortable.

🤍” Bad behavior” or lack of performance is almost always a sore horse!!!

💙 Look after them and they’ll work so well for you!! 💪

🫧Joint Cavitations🫧

When people think of chiropractic treatments, they often associate them with cracking and popping noises with each adjustment. These noises occur when there is a change in pressure within the joint, causing a release of gas from the fluids within (think of opening up a jar or can).

Although in people this is quite common, cavitations occur much less frequently when adjusting animals. Popping and cracking noises do not indicate a successful adjustment.

You may also hear these noises when your horse turns their head to scratch their side or swat a fly. This does not indicate that they have adjusted themselves, and that they don’t need to be assessed by a chiropractor.

Any joint can make this noise given the right circumstances. When performed in conjunction with global movement such as turning the head, these releases often occur at joints that are already moving appropriately, and therefore have more range of motion to change the pressure within the joint that much easier.

Show Cows!! 🐄 🏆

🟢 Yes chiropractic is first and foremost to keep our animals feeling their best, but did you know it can also help in the show pen!?

🟢 Below are pictures of immediately before and after treatment of a heifer who is headed to the Farm Show. Much more symmetrical confirmation and ease of movement will allow her to show better in front of the judges. While she feels great and looks great, she can perform at the top of her class. 🌟

🟢 This particular girl will have some maintenance follow up care to continue progression and support healthy growth and development.

✨ Sweet Ivy! ✨ We LOVE owner updates, especially when they’re doing SO well! ✅

Ivy has been through the ringer this past week, obviously sore, not eating, and just not herself at all. After an emergency veterinary visit and a team of doctors working to help, Ivy’s mom brought her in to see us at Pine Creek Veterinary Associates yesterday. Ivy is clearly feeling so MUCH BETTER after her first chiropractic visit!👏 Looking forward to keeping this sweet girl feeling her best.
