Congratulations to Mikaël Kingsbury, Moguls legend and five-time Olympic medallist, on an extraordinary career and a well earned retirement!

Mikaël’s legacy extends far beyond the podium. Throughout his journey, including his recent time as a Mental Health Ambassador with Homewood Health, he helped normalize conversations about mental well being in high performance sport and showed that lasting success is built on care, balance, and support.

We also want to recognize the vital role of his family, whose steady encouragement and grounding support were central to his mental health and resilience along the way. It’s been an honour to witness how that foundation helped Mikaël thrive, both as an athlete and as a role model.

Wishing you and your family all the best in this next chapter!

🌈 Neurodiversity at Work: Why Different Brains Make Better Teams

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is the perfect time to recognize something wonderful: our workplaces are full of brilliantly different minds, each bringing their own superpowers to the table. With 20–25% of people identifying as neurodivergent — including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and Tourette’s syndrome — chances are your team already thrives because of this diversity, not in spite of it.

And here’s the exciting part: neurodivergent thinking styles often shine in creativity, problem solving, innovation, and unconventional ideas — the very ingredients modern workplaces crave.

Homewood Health is committed to advancing evidence-based approaches that improve outcomes for those we serve.

Our recent peer-reviewed article, “Measurement-based care in a Canadian treatment program for first responders, military personnel, and Veterans: A case study,” published in the Journal of Military, Veteran and Family Health, examines how measurement-based care (MBC) was successfully implemented within a specialized Canadian mental health and addictions program.

Drawing on data from a digital MBC platform, the study found patient engagement and clinical outcomes exceeding national benchmarks, while also highlighting the practical challenges of implementation and the importance of training and clinical leadership.

Together, these insights demonstrate how structured, measurement-driven care can strengthen treatment and improve outcomes for individuals with complex mental health needs. Read the article here 🔗 https://ow.ly/x3eT50YsjTl

Introduction: The use of measurement-based care (MBC) can significantly improve outcomes for patients, including symptom reduction, improved functioning, and quality of life. However, existing barriers can lead to low implementation rates, especially among first responders, military personnel, and V...

Another cold, grey month can feel heavy. And the pressure to stay positive doesn’t always help.

In this episode of our Winter Wellbeing series, Gabrielle Provencher shares why feeling low in winter isn’t a failure — it’s often a natural response to seasonal changes. Naming what you feel and allowing space for it can reduce guilt and build resilience.

Getting through winter doesn’t require forced cheer. It starts with self-compassion.

After a full day of meetings and tasks, you may look composed on the outside, but feel depleted inside.

For many neurodivergent individuals, that hidden exhaustion comes from masking and the constant effort to appear “neurotypical” in environments that don’t always reflect how their brain works. Over time, this pressure can fuel stress, self-doubt, and burnout.

Winter doesn’t feel the same for everyone. ❄️

Our childhood experiences often shape how we respond to this season. For some, winter brings comfort and nostalgia. For others, it can surface loneliness, stress, or difficult memories.

In our latest Winter Wellbeing series video, Gabrielle Provencher explores how becoming aware of these patterns allows us to respond with intention.
