Not having options, going into medical debt, and feeling helpless/powerless in stressful health-related situations is traumatizing.
We can do better as a community. Local elections continue to focus on homelessness and drugs, however they need to also focus on the broken healthcare system in Shasta County that has touched all of us, including the negative impact it's had on our first responders.
