On April 12, 2025, CTP welcomed Cornerstone Christian Church and several local families for a powerful day focused on helping young people stay away from drugs and alcohol. Every young adult in attendance was fully engaged as our CTP residents—Christian men who have overcome addiction—shared their powerful stories of how God delivered them from darkness into freedom.

After sharing their stories, the residents sat down with the young people for honest, heartfelt conversations. Together, they discussed practical ways to avoid the traps of addiction and built personal plans rooted in faith, accountability, and purpose.

The message was clear: Walking with God, cultivating healthy relationships, and setting strong boundaries are key ingredients to a life of freedom.

Last night, I was so proud of the men of CTP Campus! God used them to impact the young leaders in our CTP Extreme outreach program. Although their stories of addiction and homelessness were new to the young minds of their audience, feelings (fear, uncertainty, doubt. worthlessness) hit home. The kids listened eagerly as these men answered one question: “What would you do differently if you could relive your childhood?”. Here’s what they said:

* Know who you are (your identity) in Christ
* Spend time with God and in his Word
* Build friendships with fellow believers
* Discipline from mom/dad is a good thing
* Establish healthy boundaries
* Don’t focus on being popular
* Understand the dangers of social media
