If you don’t already, I highly recommend popping over to IG and following me there because I started a podcast there today that will run for at least the course of this year! I’m chatting with some pretty exceptional people every week about anything and everything that comes up with the overall intention of embodying and exploring living out loud ❤️

Hey Beautiful Souls,

I reached 400 Followers today, wow! Since, I’ve been largely inactive here, that’s pretty cool. I’m looking forward to growing this space and sharing and connecting with you all!

Something that’s alive for me right now is what I call “Intergenerational Play” and where it overlaps with sustainability.

A while back I made an immersive, life sized game of snakes and ladders where people were the game pieces. I had the opportunity to share it at a couple of festivals around New South Wales, Australia. It was a hit! I didn’t really know how it would be received. I just had this inspired thought that entered my mind through the ether at a random moment in June and ran with it.

What unfolded was so cool! I asked a rock climbing gym for retired ropes. I went dumpster diving. I took dead sticks from nature that would otherwise be bushfire fuel. I checked out an art studio that was closing down and going to throw things away if unclaimed. I went to a community upcycling store. Members of my community came together to help me scavenge materials and build the entire 8 meter by 8 meter board game, ladders, snakes and all.

And if all of that wasn’t magical enough, then there was what actually happened once it was installed at these festivals. People of ALL ages came together to engage with each other a play! From 4 years old to 74 years old. The way it changed relational dynamics, brought a sense of belonging and connection between generations truly moved me.

Mental Health is very near and dear to my heart, and I believe it takes a holistic and individualized approach to have each us feeling at home within ourselves. That’s what optimal mental health is to me- the embodied feeling of wholeness. How that looks is different for everyone, but how that feels is universal. I strongly believe in the power of relational healing, which can take many forms. I do believe Intergenerational Play amongst community members is a powerful tool to contribute towards one’s wellbeing. Strangers becoming acquaintances. Building trust with others in your environment gives your nervous system a chance to take a breather, especially if you’ve had a past littered with caregivers who couldn’t meet your needs. establishing relationships with elders who pass on wisdom either through their presence or storytelling. Children providing fresh energy and insights. When we engage in Intergenerational Play, we grow our connections on an equal playing field. It’s “team building” if you will but that is not the primary incentive to participate- fun is! All the connection and community development is secondary. Our need for fun is paramount and equivalent to our need for community, safety, and connection. Embodied play has such healing qualities to it.

As a womxn who is passionate about the environment, it was important to me that this be a waste free project. So repurposing materials and using items from nature in a respectful and sustainable way was a non-negotiable.

This project was such a hit and has been lingering on my mind for over a year now since I left New South Wales. So much so that I have a request for all of you! Are you connected with community developers that would be interested in something like this in their communities? A social and sustainable immersive art and play project to connect community members and contribute to their mental health? I would really like to do more of this in the world, and I believe it would be of great service to humxnity. A spin-off dream version of this is to make it a proper 3D ordeal and tour it around (sounds like a fabulous Burning Man install, right?) If you know anyone in community development, humxn connection work, festival circuits, or anything else that comes to mind, would you please put me in touch with them? Any info you have on grant writing or securing funding for projects like this would be wonderful too! If you yourself want to get involved with whatever this is shaping up to be, please get in touch. I believe there is great potential in this an am looking for investors, venues, and collaborators ❤️

Lots of love to you and yours,
Narina

The inability to receive support from others is a trauma response.

Your “I don’t need anyone, I’ll just do it all myself” conditioning is a survival tactic. And you needed it to shield your heart from abuse, neglect, betrayal, and disappointment from those who could not or would not be there for you.

From the parent who was absent and abandoned you by choice or the parent who was never home from working three jobs to feed and house you.

From the lovers who offered s*xual intimacy but never offered a safe haven that honored your heart.

From the friendships and family who ALWAYS took more than they ever gave.

From all the situations when someone told you “we’re in this together” or “I got you” then abandoned you, leaving you to pick up the pieces when s**t got real, leaving you to handle your part and their part, too.

From all the lies and all the betrayals.

You learned along the way that you just couldn’t really trust people. Or that you could trust people, but only up to a certain point.

Extreme-independence IS. A. TRUST. ISSUE.

You learnt: if I don’t put myself in a situation where I rely on someone, I won’t have to be disappointed when they don’t show up for me, or when they drop the ball... because they will ALWAYS drop the ball EVENTUALLY right?

You may even have been intentionally taught this protection strategy by generations of hurt ancestors who came before you.

Extreme-independence is a preemptive strike against heartbreak.

So, you don’t trust anyone.

And you don’t trust yourself, either, to choose people.

To trust is to hope, to trust is to be vulnerable.

“Never again,” you vow.

But no matter how you dress it up and display it proudly to make it seem like this level of independence is what you always wanted to be, in truth it’s your wounded, scarred, broken heart behind a protective brick wall.

Impenetrable. Nothing gets in. No hurt gets in. But no love gets in either.

Fortresses and armor are for those in battle, or who believe the battle is coming.

It’s a trauma response.

The good news is trauma that is acknowledged is trauma that can be healed.

You are worthy of having support.
You are worthy of having true partnership.
You are worthy of love.
You are worthy of having your heart held.
You are worthy to be adored.
You are worthy to be cherished.
You are worthy to have someone say, “You rest. I got this.” And actually deliver on that promise.
You are worthy to receive.
You are worthy to receive.
You are worthy.

You don’t have to earn it.
You don’t have to prove it.
You don’t have to bargain for it.
You don’t have to beg for it.

You are worthy.
WORTHY.
Simply because you exist.

“But if my healing only keeps looping back to myself, and doesn’t ultimately lead to reassociation with the Earth and my work to be part of it, then I’m just a casualty of healing-themed consumerism. And still contributing to the problems that are destroying the planet."

F*cking WELL SAID 🙌🙏🏼❤️

Are you “doing the work” or are you playing a game of charades that’s leading to no real change for yourself or the world? If you think you’re doing the work, but feel no greater connection or compassion for the world (earth and it’s inhabitants), then “the work” you are doing isn’t the healing you seek, it’s busy work and it will do exactly that, keep you busy.

"I’m no longer interested in any forms of spirituality, self mastery programs, success mentors, coaches, healers, spiritual thinkers, or activists that don’t ultimately lead their communities back to responsible association to tending the Earth.

The never ending quest for self-realization, personal brand mastery, self-success “soul”-preneurship all strike me as bypasses that have only served to keep us disassociated from what’s actually going on here.

Which requires us to exit the cult of individual success, whether seen through foggy spiritualized goggles or not, and get our hands dirty in the immediacy of our grounded environmental issues around us.

The world dies while we buy in to yet another charismatic voice telling us how to heal some yet unmastered part of ourselves even more deeply into narcissistic individual “success.”

The world dies while charismatics make millions on their self help platforms.

Sure... and for that matter, please: do your personal healing.

But if my healing only keeps looping back to myself, and doesn’t ultimately lead to reassociation with the Earth and my work to be part of it, then I’m just a casualty of healing-themed consumerism. And still contributing to the problems that are destroying the planet."

Hello My Business Page Community,

EXCITING NEWS!

I now officially offer One-On-One Online Mental Health Coaching Sessions!

I have been working as an online Mental Health Coach casually the past 3 years helping burnt-out femxles who want to achieve more confidence, control, and inner peace in their lives without the intrusion of (C)PTSD symptoms like self-loathing, depression, and anxiety or compromising their career performance.

It started as a friend recognizing how far I had come on my C-PTSD recovery and asking for help with unresolved childhood trauma that was consuming her adult life. It was impacting her physical health as well as the way she related to herself, her family, her partner, and her high stress workplace. She had such noticeable shifts in the way she showed up in her professional and personal lives that people started asking her "What's changed? You seem so much more at ease." and she coined my title. She told people "I'm working with a Mental Health Coach". And bam, just like that, other womxn started reaching out, looking for help with unmanageable and unrelenting stress, anxiety, depression, flashbacks, self worth, confidence, dissociation, etc. I've had the opportunity to help them feel more peace in their lives and roll with the punches rather than them feeling the need to obsessively and exhaustingly control every detail and person in their lives. Pretty cool! And now, I have realized it's something I would like to do more officially 🤗I find it so rewarding, and I'm really good at it!

I am not a therapist. I am a massive advocate for quality therapy. However, I have found the skills and insights I offer, and the space I hold for others, has helped people in ways their therapy experiences haven't. Finding the right therapist can also be really hard (trust me, I know this struggle very intimately). And it has been my experience as a client, as well as a practitioner, that a kickass, trauma-informed Mental Health Coach can, at times, be more effective than a therapist (and can also help you find the right therapist for you). I also know working with a Mental Health Coach can expedite the therapy process.

So, all that being said, do you need a Mental Health Coach in your life? I offer a Free Breakthrough Consult where I promise I provide value and “ah-ha” takeaways to help revamp or jumpstart your mental health journey. And you get a chance to see if I am a good fit for you as a Coach. If not you, do you know someone who would benefit from mental health coaching? Please share this post with them❤️ As one of my most treasured therapists used to tell me "There is nothing more important than your mental wellbeing."

Thank you!🙏 If this message resonated with you, send me a message to schedule your Free Breakthrough Consult. And feel free to checkout my website www.narinabrothers.com

I look forward to connecting❤️

Hey Y'all,

After "invitation bombing" all of my friends list the last week or two, I've had so many people Like my page. So, I just wanted to post a little message here saying

THANK YOU!!!

Your support means a lot to me and fills my energy bucket. I'm excited to keep expanding, sharing, and being of service to humxnity. There's a lot in the works behind the scenes at the moment and still a lot in my brain that has yet to be actualized. I'm so amped by all this potential! (and have to do a lot of embodiment practices at the moment to not get ahead of myself or burnout lol) So, thanks for trusting me to provide something valuable to your lives. I hope you enjoy coming along and growing with me

Liberate Through Expression- Empowering Womxn to Live Out Loud ❤

This is a cause I’m insanely passionate about. Why? Expression, to me, is moments where we have opportunities make choices to embody our authenticity. Living in a way that feels right for us is so essential to not only our own well-being but that of the world. No "should" or "supposed to" or pleasing others or acting to avoid judgment and confrontation. Expression can be an unapologetic unfolding and externalization of our most authentic selves.

When we operate from this place we feel GOOD. “Right” in a bigger sense. We feel like ourselves. We feel like we can be of service to others and give others permission to do the same.

When we don’t express authentically, we feel shut down, repressed, stagnant. We ache in our bodies. We carry resentment towards others. We can look to place blame and go into a martyr or victim mentality. Our vitality shuts down.

We are meant to be creative beings. Expression is paramount. It’s how we feel right with ourselves and the world and also how we contact with others and get our needs met.

Movement is one of my favorite ways to check in and realign with my authenticity. It offers me opportunities to breakthrough internalized resistance and shed layers that are blocking me from my most authentic embodiment.

I have no formal dance training. I just love moving my body rhythmically (sometimes it’s to my own beat). It’s not about dancing or being “good” at anything. It’s about liberation. It’s about creating my own world and a world I want to live in.

Feeling stifled, stuck, unheard and resentful? Saying yes when you want to say no or no when you want to say yes? Do you want to open up more to your creativity and authenticity? Are you looking for community with other womxn who value realness as much as you? This course is for YOU!

Please allow me to support you on your journey to embodying authenticity more in your life. This course is open to 8 womxn who are ready to find more safety within themselves to live larger and louder. Your potential is infinite❤️
