The Board of Trustees of Morristown Emergency Memorial Scholarships, Inc. is pleased to announce that the application period for Summer 2025 is now open.

Do you meet the following eligibility requirements?

• Completed at least half of their course of study within the medical or community health fields. This includes, but not limited to, EMT, paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, caseworker, social worker and health educator.

• Preference will be given to applicants who currently volunteer or have previously volunteered in their course of study or at an EMS agency.

• Only one scholarship per person per calendar year can be awarded.

Morristown Emergency Memorial Scholarships was founded in 2020 following the dissolution of the Morristown Ambulance Squad, Inc., which had provided 58 years of dedicated volunteer service to the Town of Morristown.

The mission of Morristown Emergency Memorial Scholarships is to 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥/𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦.

● Amanda Houston, volunteer EMT since 2018, pursuing Nursing at Seton Hall University
● Eun Koh, volunteer EMT since September 2016, pursuing Nursing at Bergen Community College
● Sarah Machere, volunteer EMT since November 2017, pursuing Accelerated BSN at Felician University
● Samantha Paulino, volunteer EMT since October of 2021, pursuing Nursing at Felician University
● Avery Rounsaville, volunteer EMT since September 2019, pursuing Nursing at Raritan Valley Community College
● Adele Shepin, volunteer 2017 to 2021, pursuing Bio Science at Rutgers University

The above recipients were chosen based on their transcripts, many appearing on the Dean’s list as well as their dedication to the medical field they have chosen.

Ceased Operations

The Morristown Ambulance Squad has ceased operations effective 2359 hours on December 31, 2019. After 58 years of volunteer service to the Morristown community, we are no longer able to provide Emergency Medical Services to our town.
