Ground Beef Empanadas

Ingredients

• ⁠Dough:
• ⁠1½ cups mozzarella
• ⁠3 oz cream cheese
• ⁠1¼ cup almond flour
• ⁠1 egg
• ⁠Filling:
• ⁠1 lb ground beef
• ⁠½ cup chopped onion
• ⁠¼ cup chopped green olives (if desired)
• ⁠1 tsp each: chile powder, cumin, smoked paprika
• ⁠1 tbsp olive oil
• ⁠⅓ cup salsa of choice

Instructions

1. ⁠Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. ⁠In a pan over medium heat, cook onions in 1-2 tbsp olive oil until slightly softened. Add in ground beef and break up with a spatula. Season meat mixture with chile powder, cumin and smoked paprika. Cook until browned. Add in salsa of choice and olives if using. Set aside.
3. ⁠While meat is cooking, add mozzarella and cream cheese to a bowl and microwave for one minute. Take out and stir well, then put back in the microwave for another minute. Stir well.
4. ⁠Add egg to mozzarella and cream cheese mixture and mix well. Then add in the almond flour and combine well again.
5. ⁠Roll the dough flat with a rolling pin or with a piece of plastic wrap on top and use a wine bottles. Once you've rolled it flat, about ¼" thick, use a bowl to cut circle shapes.
6. ⁠For excess dough, form into a ball then roll out again and repeat the process until all the dough has been used.
7. ⁠Lay on a lightly greased cooking sheet, parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
8. ⁠Place a couple spoonfuls of meat mixture into each circle on one half and then fold the other half over. Make sure to press down firmly on the edges. You can also slightly roll the edges to make sure they're together well or use a fork to gently push down the edges.
9. ⁠Once you've made all the empanadas, cook at 425 degrees for 12 minutes until starting to turn golden brown.

Don’t get caught up in the motions. Live each day with PURPOSE. The definition of PURPOSE is, when you do something with purpose, you do it with determination. When your activities have a purpose, you have an aim or intention in mind.

Do you do your activities with a purpose?
Do you have a goal or something you aim for with your daily habits?
I know this isn't something easily dealt with or something you may not even want to think about. It's easier to brush off and close out this post.

Sadly, many abandon their journeys because of the amount of time it takes to get to the destination.

At the end of the day, PROGRESSION is PROGRESSION. Throughout your process, you'll experience LEAPS, BOUNDS, & also inches.
Understand, these are all part of the process.

Don't give up. Don't get discouraged, and don't quit.

This is seriously one of my favorite stories and transformation we have had! The main reason is Gabe came to us for help. He said he was at risk of getting diabetes, he wasn't happy with his body and he wanted to lean up! His main goal was to get rid of the diabetes but he also wanted to melt body fat and gain muscle! 👇

Repost from I can’t believe it’s been two years since I started my fit Journey! I am a size 2 right now!! I look back at pictures and it is such a dramatic change for me. I’m loving the new me!! This time around loosing the weight I went a totally different approach!
I incorporated not only cardio but also weight lifting into my plan. The first time I started with strictly cardio and then went to weight lifting after, I lost all of my b***y and had to rebuild! (P.s Bootycamp on sundays is amazing! Helped me rebuild) This time I started with clean eating right off the bat with the help of online meal plans. The first time I wasn’t eating clean right off the bat I started after awhile. I have gotten comments that this time around I look healthier! Of course I still have my mommy’s pouch I need to work on from having had a c-section!

All life demands struggle. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of life. The very striving, and hard work that we so constantly try to avoid is the major building block in the person we are today.

You will struggle, and you will face inevitable challenges throughout your life. The best advice I can give you is to embrace those challenges, accept them for what they are, and attack them. If you let life come to you, you're going to fail. You have to go out and get what you want, or it won't happen.

The secret of your success is found in your daily routine. A lot of you aren't happy with where you're at, and that's because your daily routine isn't where it needs to be. It starts with your attitude when you wake up in the morning, if your attitude isn't positive to begin with, your life won't see positive outcomes. Those who are positive, and envision a better life are those who reach it.

Complete Biceps Training! HIT THE SHORT, MID AND LONG RANGES! 💪 -

To fully stimulate a muscle, you must challenge it across its entire contractile range. And just doing a full range of motion (ROM) in the big lifts won't achieve this. Moving through a full ROM is very different than being challenged over a full ROM.

You see, muscles need to be worked in the mid-range, lengthened, and shortened position. Most exercises don't require you to produce a constant force at all points throughout the ROM. Changes in the length of the lever during an exercise mean that force differs across the range of motion.

To train a muscle at all points along its strength curve usually requires at least two, and often three, exercises. You don't have to do exercises for all three positions within one workout. If you train a muscle several times a week, you can distribute these exercises across multiple sessions.

Above is an example of an exercise for each point in the strength curve for biceps.

It's extremely important to hit every range of motion for every workout! This is the key 🗝 to fully develop any of your body parts!

🔥 Your Fat Loss could be Easier

I can already hear you saying

“It’s the weekend dude!
Who cares about Fat Loss!
That’s some during the week ish.
It’s time to throw the diet out the window and have fun!”

I get it.

But the weekend is a very important time to ensure you don’t gain back that fat you burned during the week!

So not only will these tips help for during the week

BUT

Also for the weekend!

1️⃣ Meal Prep during the weekend will ensure that you stay on track during the day so you have more leeway to enjoy the nights out!

2️⃣ Increasing your low calorie, micronutrient dense foods will help with keeping those calories in check and you staying full!

3️⃣ PROTEIN! Will help keep you full and help keep those calories in check during the weekend.

4️⃣ Stay Hydrated because it’ll help with energy, regulating hunger but also, help from you having a terrible hangover!

5️⃣ Caffeine is a tool ☕️ It helps blunt hunger and also give you energy. Remember it’s a tool that the more you use, the less effective it is! Use wisely!

6️⃣ Scheduling in your treats will help you keep it simple/lower cal around those meals!

7️⃣ Utilizing Intermittent Fasting (Time Restricted Eating) can help you bank more calories for those social situations that usually happen at night!

8️⃣ Be active during the weekends! We underestimate the amount of calories you can burn just being a human being moving around!

9️⃣ SLEEP! Try your best with this. During the weekends sleep can be put on the back burner. But remember, with less sleep, the more hungry you will be!

✳️ Fat Loss doesn’t necessarily happen without a Caloric Deficit aka eating less calories than you burn. So that’s why you see me referencing this as the main driver of how these 9 tips can help you make fat loss easier!

Break Your Fitness Plateaus NOW!
Effective ways to overcome them! 💪
⚡⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So how do you know if the your body needs a rest? Unfortunately there’s no definite answer so its important that you just listen to your body and take into consideration a number of factors:
- Are you ill?
- How do you feel pre, during and post workout?
- Are you tired?
- What’s happening to your weight?⚡⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your body may feel great but you’re still struggling to progress and this is very normal too. The way to push past this stage of training is to add new stimulus to your training, like different exercises in a new program or a different training style as suggested above ☝️.
As Arnold would say you need to ’SHOCK THE MUSCLE’. 😁😁

If you find your body needs a break then you can either stop training altogether for a week if you think your body is more desperate for a rest. Orrrrr, you can try reducing volume for a week, so instead on pushing your body to the limit, you just give the muscles a different way to train. You should also probably check your nutrition to see if you’re eating enough calories to fuel your body.

If you are stuck and seeing results, there is a good chance you need to change your whole routine. Both nutrition and fitness. That's why we created online fitness and nutrition coaching program. To prevent these plateaus from happening!

Four Amazing Chicken Marinades 🍗🤩♨️ *Swipe to see all 4 ideas 💫✨

Looking to switch up your chicken routine? I got you covered!
These combos are simple and easy to whip up for the week. In the photo, I’m using my silicone, reusable, dishwasher safe to marinade the chicken to help cut down on my use of plastic for the environment and for me! ⠀
⭐️What to do:
1. Combine ingredients in a bowl.
2. Place chicken and marinade a bag.
3. Marinade in fridge for 2 hours.
4. Bake for 25 min 450 degrees for a 7oz breast

Below are the marinades. Each makes 1 serving, multiply for each chicken breast you have.

🍋Cilantro lime:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lime
1 tsp honey
1/4 cup cilantro leaves chopped
1 clove garlic minced
Sea salt to taste

🥥Coconut Curry :
1/2 cup full fat coconut milk
1 tbsp red curry paste
1 tbsp curry powder
1 lime
Sea salt to tase

🍈Jalapeño Lime Marinade
1 lime
1 tbsp avocado oil
1-2 jalapeños, cut
Sea salt to taste

🥜Lemon ginger:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lemon
1 tsp minced ginger
1/8 tsp red pepper flake
Sea salt + pepper to taste

🍫 Double Chocolate Chewy Cookies.
It took 8 experiments to get these cookies correct and I think I’ve gotten them to a point where I’m ready to share the recipe 😎

🔥 .
It took me a while to get this one right. I tried a bunch of different things. Coconut flour. Rice flour. Baking flour. Butter. No butter. Egg white only. Whole egg. No cocoa powder. Yes cocoa powder. 8 minutes at 350F. 8 minutes at 375f. 12 minutes at 350F. The whole recipe is only like 650 calories 😎😎
WET INGREDIENTS
150g white kidney beans
45g applesauce
10g stevia
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
DRY INGREDIENTS
75g GF baking flour
10g cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt

28g Mini Chocolate Chips .
PREP
1. Preheat oven to 350F
2. Drain the beans and rinse. Dry as well as possible. Use a food processor or a tool to mash the beans into a paste.
3. In a large bowl, mix the beans, apple sauce, egg, stevia, vanilla, and egg.
4. In a different bowl mix the dry ingredients.
5. Slowly add the dry ingredients and half the chocolate chips to the wet and mix to incorporate.
6. Spray a baking sheet with oil. Use a small cookie scoop to create little balls of dough. Press into shape and top with remaining chips.
7. Bake at 350F for 8-9 minutes. .
Questions you may have that some of you will still ask because you didn’t read the caption: .
❓Can i use a different flour? Probably regular flour. Don’t use coconut flour or almond flour. .
❓What can I substitute the applesauce for? Nothing. Leave it in. .
❓What can I use instead of beans, I don’t have any? Go to the store and buy some. That’s the main ingredient. .
❓Can I use regular sugar? Yes, obviously. Just add more. .
❓Vanilla extract or vanilla powder? Extract. .
❓can I use regular chocolate chips? This better not be a question.
