Have you ever fed a toddler?
Take a note from a toddler during a meal... The dancing between bites! What beautiful body movement exploration!
It reminded me of something I’ve noticed...
Even though I can squat my body weight and run for hours,
balancing on one leg and raising the right one to my chest past parallel makes me cramp.
*It’s a sign that movement was being lost unnoticed.
Unnoticed, I’m dying.
That bit of motion was lost, unknowingly.
From sitting? From work? From school? Maybe.
From not doing the motion?
WELL…. I was able to run 2 hours yesterday. TWICE! There were hills that required raising the legs.
So why cramp?
From simply not doing end range of motion in day to day life? Absolutely.
My Motivation
My toddler exclaims “Do it Daddy!”
Mimic his dance, jump while he bikes between my legs, or simply Stand on one leg!
If I am to “Do it Daddy” for years, mobility needs to be noticed and checked in on.
Plus I can’t let him get stronger and faster than me. We grow together.
Challenge to you
Check your end range motion so things don’t go unnoticed.
Is this also to get me as your patient?
YES! My job, working on the body, is awesome and I get to meet and help great people like you!
