It’s been a long time since I posted here, but I’m trying some new things. When I left this page, I had lost a ton of weight. Then Covid happened. I made an entire career change. I lost my father after a long illness and a heart wrenching seven months. I was diagnosed with depression & insomnia. It’s been a wild ride. I’m bringing this community back to share my health journey with you all in lots of ways. I recently became a brand affiliate for NuSkin. I’m entering my internship as a marriage & family therapist. I blog for an international nonprofit and own my own nonprofit. I’m also the shelter manager for a domestic violence shelter. Sometimes wellness looks like a healthy recipe or a supplement or a workout tip. Sometimes, it’s your boss pointing out you haven’t taken a personal day since you lost your father in June & encouraging you to take the day. Sometimes, it’s skipping calorie counting in favor of comfort food and a movie night family. This is to hold myself accountable for putting myself a bit higher on the priority list again. If this resonates with you, buckle in for the ride…I’d love to have some copilots…

Nothing required but participation...we’ll set some challenges up (check in after a workout days, water challenge days, healthy recipe swaps, mental health tips, etc). That’s it! Sorry for the language, but 2019 was the year I stopped making excuses! Who has a type of “get healthy” goal for 2020? Maybe it’s be more fit, maybe it’s eating well, maybe it’s beating depression/anxiety...whatever it is, I’d LOVE to be your accountability partner! It can be a daily/weekly check in, we can exchange recipes, I can coach you on any of our programs, I can simply accompany you for exercise (yoga, cardio, weights, a run). Let’s kick 2020’s goals in the ass together! 🙌🏻💕

As the mileage increases while I enter into the last few months of training for my first marathon (number 2 is next November), I am choosing to really look at ways to fuel my body not only for running, but just busy life. This week, I’ll be trying some hearty recipes from the Run Fast Cook Fast Eat Slow cookbook written by an accomplished marathon runner. But seriously, the quote regarding 80% of the food on the shelves of the supermarket not existing 100 years ago blew my mind. not I’m thrilled with my weight loss, just think that focusing on the final nutrition piece will make me feel even more amazing! Powerful advice on the first page...count your miles, not your calories...

In honor of small business Saturday, I have a bag of Shakeology in Vanilla that I will let go of for a discounted price for someone that wants to try it...also, I have tried a variety of workouts to supplement my marathon training, & I’d love to help you stay consistent in your fitness this holiday season. My holiday bloat this week has been minimal bc I stayed consistent with my workouts, & it is great to not stare at the scale in horror after all that food! I ran a consistent 10 minute mile today despite some overindulgence. 😂 PM me for more info!
