Unlock the power of your glutes and hips for a pain-free back! ✨ Let’s work together to kick low back pain to the curb—one massage at a time! Ready to feel the relief? 👌🏼💆🏻♀️
Anytime anyone talks to me about low back pain, I look to your hips and glutes, with a side of psoas and knee review.
WHY?
Because your lower back is like your neck. It is going to take hits subconsciously all day. The best course of action is just remembering posture and stance as much as you can by keeping your toes pointed forward as much as possible. When you turn your feet outwards or away from you, as if to hold you up, "easier," it is actually counterproductive. It will stress the knees first, then hips, the glutes, and then lastly, low back where you feel it the most.
So, toes pointing forward. 😉
Psoas and Knee ~
Psoas is a muscle on the front of your lower back that connects from your lower back to the top of your thigh. When inactive, you have limited range in lifting your leg, which may be felt in the lower back.
Any knee issues can cause the leg to turn outwards in general, slowly causing inflammation and pain, as it climbs up the thigh muscles and into the hips, which connects to the lower back.
Do either of these sound familiar to you?
