Most of our new clients come to us to fix a pain issue that has not been sufficiently responsive to other therapies. That makes them, by definition, the 'hard cases', ones that other excellent practitioners were unable to remedy.
But what our clients also experience is their bodies simply working better, more efficiently. If you do therapy with us, your body won't just feel better, it will WORK better. Move better.
If you're a runner, you'll become a better runner. If you play pickleball, you'll become a better player.
Here is some objective proof if this phenomenon. A week or two ago I shared a quote from a functional medicine doctor about how a patient she referred to us was doing so much better. I saw that client yesterday and he shared this screenshot from his Apple Health data.
iPhones capture a lot of information about how we walk, and one cool metric is how balanced our walking is, left vs right. With almost every new client we see, they have significant left-right asymmetries that are a significant driver of their pain experience. One of my favorite functional tests to do is simply watch somebody walk. It gives us so much information about what is and is not happening.
Here is his screenshot showing his walking steadiness. At the bottom of the screenshot there's a description of what it measures. Look how variable that data is up until the start of October where it completely changes. Guess what happened at the beginning of October? Yeah, he started working with us. No wonder he's feeling so much better and logging two to three times as many steps a day as he was a few months ago.
