This free 1 hour virtual training focuses on providing educators with the skills of identifying and responding to the warning signs and risk factors of su***de.

So many people struggle in silence with thoughts of su***de. Light must be shed on this topic to reduce stigma, shame and guilt associated with these feelings. Increasing our fluency about this important topic can impact not only our students, but those in our families and communities.

This course covers the required topics for teacher relicensure in the area of su***de prevention as outlined by the Minnesota Department of Education, and the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. A certificate of attendance will be provided.

It delves into the differences between Play-Based Childhood and Phone-Based Childhood.
