One of the gems I came across after my Aunt had passed years ago was a binder of the poetry she had written that just sat on a shelf. After a bit of work it was put together into a wonderful book for her family to have and unwrap on Christmas morning.

Have you digitized your memories?

If you have not yet digitized your videos, photos, documents, audio cassettes, etc.. you run the risk of them getting destroyed by time, age, light, fire, flood, or any other disaster. I have digitized every moment of my and my family's lives and after a flood years ago in my home, I didn't have to worry about any memories getting destroyed.

Do what you need to do this year and give yourself and your loved ones the gift of having all of your memories at the tip of your fingers or mouse. All originals are saved and preserved in water-tight, archival boxes and moments are digitized and saved on secure platforms for you and also come on a flash drive.

You will be able to rest easy afterwards, and be able to watch/stream your videos, listen to your audio files on your phone or even view photos and documents on your tablets. Those memories will be shareable bringing your friends and loved ones closer.

One of the hardest things we experience in this life is loss of a loved one. Whether they be young or old, losing someone can be life-changing and incredibly devistating. There a few things we find that help bring loved ones and friends together during this time and keep that person's memory alive. Remberance is important and capturing their legacy and life is our goal, keep their flame burning.

Whether it be capturing the funeral with video/audio and photography or creating videos of their life or a slideshow with images of their legacy, these are great ways to focus on the love and life of the deceased. Those memories can also be placed into a rememberance book that allows you to see the loving messages from others and from social media about your loved one, all in one spot.

Or if you simply want to remember the aspects of their life and keep those memories alive and make them accessible we can help digitize, transcribe. etc... and make these moments and stories shareable for your loved ones and friends.

I recently shared with someone that I have been working hard on writing my own life story, they were confused as to why at 39 I am doing so. I later on had the correct response come into my head and it is a question I pose to you all. Does your memory get better with age? Mine does not, memories fade into my mind as time progresses.

What I have been writing is not the summation of my entire life but they are the stories and memories I still have clear in my mind. Moments that down the road when I want my life story done are already written out and ready. I have been making time to write them down as well as do videos about some of the stories.

What is holding you back from telling your story? What is holding you back from having your memories down on paper or in video?
